Teenagers 1 - Mood Swings

139 maanden geleden

Hello Stardoll readers,

As teenagers, I'm sure we've all exprienced mood swings. In this post, I will be talking about the good and the bad about mood swings and why our moods change very frequently at certain times.

Here's an example;

When you're feeling sad and angry then all of a sudden you start crying for no reason.

Or when you're laughing one minute and then angry the other cause you just felt like it.

Or crying and being depressed for so long and then scratching yourself or shouting out loud to release out all the anger and sadness within you.

To be honest, most effects are bad since mood swings can cause a lot of trouble and problems between you and others. The only good thing is that you might end up solving a problem if you were in a calm mood which rarely ever happens if you are too short tempered.

What causes mood swings?

There are many to list but here's a few to start with. First, energy level; If you are feeling weak or tired, you'll start feeling moody which is most likely to cause mood swings. Second, sleep pattern; Meaning if you lack sleep you will feel tired and if you sleep too much you will feel tired as well which as mentioned will cause to mood swings. Third, self-esteem, which we all as teenagers go through, self confidence and loving ourselves. But not all can be like that. Self-esteem is most known to cause mood swings nowadays.

How to treat this?

Read a book or watch TV. Go out and exercise. If you feel that talking to someone about it will only make you more upset or depressed then just be alone for a while and then consult your parents or a therapist about it.

Hope you enjoyed this post!
