Starting off the school year wish fresh new classmates, teachers, and grades can be intiminating. Today, I crafted together an article to helping you ace your first day of school by leaving a great first impression. After all, you NEVER have a second chance to make a first impression!

*Present yourself well

This means dress nicely while looking clean and put together. NEVER bum your first day of school. Sweat pants, short shorts, and tanktops do not give off a conservative feel. A nice pair of jeans and a shirt or skirt would work great. Have ironed clothes. 

As many people must wear uniforms, still make sure your uniform is clean and ironed. Keep your hair and makeup crisp and stylish.

*Act friendly

Something important when making new friends is smiling big and looking like someone people want to get to know. Smile when you talk and look people directly in the eye when talking. If you are meeting some new, introduce yourself by simply saying, "Hello! My name is ____." 

When meeting new teachers, walk in the room with a big smile and say "Good morning!" The first impression you make on a teacher will carry on throughout the whole trimester or year. 

Overall, smile big & enjoy your first days at school! I promise that with a positive attitude your year will be a success!
