Marcela Interviews: UNDAMYUMBRELLLA

189 maanden geleden

Hello my dear readers. In celebration of the 3 years of Stardoll I chose to interview a really fashion person. She is one of the most famous members here in Stardoll, with an excelent fashion sense and an amazing wardrobe! Her username is UndamyUmbrellla and her name is KASIA FONT, and she's a member since June 2007. You can enlarge images by clicking on them.

M: Hello Kasia, how are you darling? How did you discover Stardoll and what made you join it?

K: Hey! I'm doing very well, thank you. Oh, well, I actually found Stardoll accidently. My parents were out one day, and I was bored, so I decided to look for some sort of game to entertain myself for the time being. Somehow, I found a link to dress-up Madonna, and it lead me to Stardoll! Fashion has always been a major part of my life, so, Stardoll really just blew me away. After dressing up Madonna, I dressed a few more celebrities, made my account, and the rest is history!

M: Really? Same happend to me but I was looking for Gisele Bündchen.Well you're a member since 2007 and a lot in Stardoll has changed since that. What do you think about the new Stardoll, and what are the good and bad changes?

K: Yes. Stardoll has changed a lot since then, that is definitely true. I think the new Stardoll is absolutely fantastic. There are so many different options in terms of dressing your MeDoll and decorating your suite, which is my personal favorite part. Stardoll is really an outlet for creativity, I mean, you can create practically anything you want now! When I first came on to Stardoll there weren't that many options. However, I come on here now, and I can really develop my sense of style with all of the fabulous new fashion and furniture. As for a bad change, I really can't think of any! Some of the prices have definitely risen, and I would really like to see Stardoll put more time into adding more hairstyles, and creating better quality dolls. However, overall, I think Stardoll has definitely changed for the better!

M: I agree with you, it's dificult to see something bad in Stardoll. We all know that you have a lot of rare clothes including Mary Kate and Ashley Real Celeb, LE and Hot Buys, what is your rarest item? And what is your favourite? Also, do you remember any special Styled Outfit you fell in love?

K: Well, there are so many items that I just love. Of course I love my grey Mary-Kate Olsen jacket, and the Lottery gown. However, honestly, my favorite items are not my super expensive rare items though. Two of my favorites are the blue and yellow striped "Inspired By Marc Jacobs" dress, along with that yellow Marc Jacobs inspired hat. Aside from items in the StarPlaza, some of my most prized possessions on Stardoll were designed by my good friends! Dina_Da_Dino makes these fabulous House Of Holland t-shirts, R1Ma made a beautiful inspired by Lanvin t-shirt, and Singingmermaid's designs are always so incredible. As for my favorite Styled Outfits theme, I would actually have to say the Wonderland theme. I know, the theme was probably not the most popular amongst the majority of Stardoll's members, but in my opinion, it was just so great. I loved the element of surrealism, and the theme seamed very avant-garde compared to others. The Fall 2008 Louis Vuitton show was one of my favorites ever, and I was so happy when I saw that Stardoll had created a few items from the show, including that magnificent hat, neck tie, and black platforms.

M: I just LOVE that hat too! Who is your biggest inspiration here and whose wardrobe do you envy (in a good way, of course)?

K: On Stardoll? Wow, I have been able to meet so many fantastic people. I would say that Paulina Porizkova is definitely an inspiration to me. I've only had the opportunity to speak with her a few times, but I can just tell that she handles herself with such grace, and she really is a very smart woman. I bought her book, "A Model Summer" the other day, I'm on chapter 7, and so far it is amazing. Paulina is truly a very talented woman. Also, I must mention my first friend on Stardoll; Bluegreen86. We were friends from the very beginning, she is truly an angel. The wardrobe that I envy the most out of anyone else on Stardoll comes from Malina Joseph. She has the most beautiful items in her Real Celeb wardrobe. I'd do anything for some of those pieces!

M: Paulina really is amazing so as Mel (bluegreen86) and who wouldn't love anything from Malina's wardrobe! Now that you don't write for Perez anymore, what comes next? Any plans for future?

K: Well, honestly, I'm not really planning anything new on Stardoll. I kind of just want to take everything one step at a time. At the moment, I am helping my friend Bluegreen86 judge her famed modeling competition, MelsModels. I'm contributing to Alphonsinne's blog, and Also, I had the opportunity of guest editing the last issue of Model-Selena's fabulous Teen Style Magazine, which was a lot of fun for me. That inspired me to think about maybe taking on something involving more fashion-based writing, I'm not sure though. We'll have to wait and see!

M: I just love that magazine! What do you suggest for new members of Stardoll?

K: I suggest that they should really just enjoy themselves on here. Stardoll is meant to be fun. Try not to get caught up in meaningless dramas, and gossip. It's not worth it to try and become "famous", or "elite" or try to get every rare item, or whatever. I would hope that all new members of Stardoll are just open-minded and respectful towards others, and try to enjoy themselves as much as possible. Dress up your doll, and meet new friends. Just try to have the best time you possibly can. Like I said, Stardoll is meant to be fun!

M: What do you expect and hope for, from Stardoll in the future?

K: The Stardoll staff is always coming up with something new. I expect more themes, more dolls, and I'm sure there will be a lot more members in the years to come! If there are a few things that I'm hoping for in the future, it's that Stardoll will make some more mature high-end clothing; maybe a sophisticated New York City theme or an early 20th century Paris Haute Couture theme, some more detailed hairstyles, and maybe some more fashion-related dolls. I would love to have some models like Raquel Zimmermann, Jourdan Dunn, and a new Naomi Campbell, I would also love maybe some more designers such as Marc Jacobs, Karl Lagerfeld, or the late Yves Saint Laurent they have/had such unique views on how a woman should dress and have given so much to the industry. If someone like Dennis Rodman has had his own doll, I think these incredibly talented designers should have dolls of their own by now too!

M: That would be wonderful, I wish we had Audrey Hepburn back, also a new Gisele Bündchen, her doll is so old and she deserves it. Thank you really much darling, it was a great interview!

K: Oh, thank you!
