Breaking Bad Habits

Hey, guys!

I know we all have those habits that we can't seem to break no matter how hard we try -- I know from personal experience. So today I'm going to give you guys a few tips on how to break those seemingly unbreakable habits.


Be Mindful

This is an important step when you're trying to break a habit. If you are fully aware when you're about to, say, bite your nails, then it will be much easier to stop yourself.


Find a Placeholder

When you're trying to break a habit, it can seem like all you want to do is what you're trying to stop doing! A simple solution is to find something else to do. For example, if you feel the desire to crack your knuckles, squeeze a stress ball instead.


Reward Yourself

If you have been showing improvement in breaking your habit, then give yourself a little treat! It could be getting that dress you wanted, buying some stardollars, making some cookies, eating some ice cream, watching a little TV or whatever you like! If you reward yourself every now and then, you'll be more likely to succeed in quitting your habit.
