Walking the dog
I have a handy trick I use to create the illusion that my doll is "walking the dog."
When a visitor scrolls thru the room, my dog moves with me even though it is not touching. Magic. You can do this with your top style or a room style. Here is a quick tutorial how you can create the effect.
1. Position your doll in your room. I prefer to have my doll sized at about 2/3 the height of the room, and slightly down and left of center.
2. Position the dog at the correct relative size at a short distance away from your doll. Try to approximate what you would like the finished scene to look like.
3. Increase the size of the dog until the dog seems to be behind part of your doll's body.
4. Click and drag the dog slightly away from your doll, keeping it on the same horizontal line. Release.
5. Click and drag again using the part of the dog that was previously overlapped until the dog overlaps your doll at the same place. Release.
6. The dog is now "glued" to your doll. While the dog is still selected, use one of the resizing points to reduce the size of the dog. Find the right size to maintain the illusion that the dog is following you. You can click on the dog to select it to resize it again, but be careful not to drag. Dragging will break the connection and your dog will no longer be “glued.”
You may need to practice this a bit to create a convincing illusion, but soon you will be "walking the dog." To see an example, visit my suite.
Play safe and have fun.
