Get to Know You

Here are a few tips on how to get to know yourself and why you feel a certain way. I believe that getting to know yourself is the first step to being happy!

1. Know Your Breaking Point
Sometimes you need to know where to draw the line. If you’re feeling stressed about something then take a step back and some time out when you’re not getting anywhere. You can't continue doing something that is making you upset.

2. Know Somebody That Knows You
 
As in, your name and history, but mostly someone you can talk to with ease. This can be anyone you have respect for- a parent or guardian, close friend, or even your doctor- that is important! Sometimes we think we are doing the right thing for ourselves, but someone that really knows you well might think differently.

3. What Makes You Happy
 
The last time you were stressed or upset- what put you back in a good mood? If you don’t know, there are lots of things you can try! Call a friend, get a manicure, see a therapist, even play stardoll- the list is endless, just make sure that it’s something that will make you feel better!

4. Your number #1 goal
 
Everyone has a dream, you need something to aim for in life whether it be long term or short term- make it achievable! Perhaps set yourself a goal to achieve good exam grades at the end of the year, make a new friend tomorrow, or get your dream job sometime in the next decade and work towards it step by step everyday.
