Homophobia is wrong on every scale. As a Bi girl, i have heard many stupid statements from people in my life. And i'm sure you've heard these too! My post today is about the stereotypical homophobic remarks that I have heard from people.

-It's not natural. Well it might not be natural to YOU, but its natural for the LGBT community. Acting on feelings of love is natural, no matter what orientation you are!

-Non-Religious only are part of the LGBT. This statement is dumb, I know many religious people who are gay. Throughout history, there are religious people who were not straight too!

-HIV is primarily among the LGBT community. This one really bugs me. HIV is a disease that is NOT confined to the LGBT community. Anyone can catch it and has nothing to do with a person's orientation and everything to do with not protecting yourself!

- LGBT people can't be good parents. Homophobic people against same-sex couples argue that every child needs a mom and dad. What is important is that a child has loving parents that support and care for them!
