Hello!

As you may or may not know, the month of June is Pride Month. This is a very important time, because it represents the leap forward we as humans have taken in our minds and in our hearts. We have the right to love whomever we want to. Let's take some time this month to remember and honor the people who have fought and even died for where we are today. The fight for these rights was a cruel one, and we acknowledge that this month.

In many places around the world, you can still be punished for who you give your heart to. This is not right. We are all human and we are all equal, no matter who we love. It is our decision, not any other person's, to decide on who we want to love and we all deserve to have the chance to decide on that. It is cruel and very, very wrong to make fun of or hurt someone just because of which gender they are inclined to liking, yet it still happens today. Just because something may make you uncomfortable or because someone is different does not mean you can ignore, verbally abuse, or injure a person. They are on the path to love, just as you are.

This month, remember to respect others. Treat others as you would want to be treated. We can end the prejudice against LGBT people, one step at a time.
