The way in which you absorb Prada’s resort collection may depend entirely on the depth of your love for Miuccia. The most hard core devotees will first notice the collection’s elegance, the way in which it perfects the ugly-as-chic aesthetic and, broken down, would be quite wearable. Otherwise, you may just notice the awkward way in which the models are positioned, sitting down, squishing the ladylike clothes. It’s rather unconventional for any collection to be presented with girls sitting down, for obvious reasons—skirt or dress? Hat or handkerchief? So we wondered, did anyone else take this route for resort? Turns out a few of our favorite collections went for the wacky.

Chloé: The house is in limbo without a design director, and it was personified in their lookbook where Jacquelyn Jablonski roams Paris like she’s in a super fancy catalog. This particular photo sums it up, as we’re pretty sure she’s attempting to open a random car (and in which case we’d swap “catalog” for “car commercial”). Giles It’s almost like the brand’s samples arrived so late they had no choice but to spiff up an otherwise average office background with a Where’s Waldo game of find that stuffed creature!

Scroll through the pics and you’ll see Deacon’s whimsical friends seated on chairs or hiding under desks.

We envy these very confused tourists.

Miu Miu: This may sound prudish, but its not often you catch a reputable girl (or model for that matter), hunched over with her legs spread.

Peter Jensen: It’s the girl you hope to never befriend, the one who despondently stalks her apartment’s peephole, playing stalker to every passerby.
