Pride Month 2019 on Stardoll
Hi Dolls,
This is Stardoll's second summer in a row celebrating Pride Month! Last year, we got some fabulous rainbow gear through the Popshop store, and this year we can look forward to more pride inspired fashionable items featuring Burberry Check rainbows!
What is Pride Month?
Pride Month is celebrated by members and supporters of the LGBTQ+IA community every year on the last Sunday in June to honor the Stonewall Uprising that marked the beginning of the Gay Rights Movement in the USA, in 1969. The Stardoll team are fully-supportive of LGBTQIA dolls and believe in equal rights for all.
Love is love! For those of you whom may not know, this is my third year as a StarBlogger, and last year I wrote about the U.N.'s human rights laws supporting the right to marry with consent to whomever we wish to marry.
This movement is a very important part of a global collaboration to make the world more just for everyone and anyone that is discriminated against. Unfortunately, there are many people in the world that are imprisoned for breaking "anti-gay" laws, others flee their countries as refugees seeking asylum for fear of persecution, and in the worst cases, people lose their lives for being who they are or live in hiding out of fear.
In an effort to support all LGBTQ dolls here on Stardoll, I've created some limited rainbow Pride designs. If you've made some Pride merch, let others know in the comments!
Now, I want to hear from you! If you're willing to share your story, or have any advice you'd like to share with people: please add and message me in my Guestbook. I'd love to feature you!
Tell me, what are your thoughts on pride month? What will you be doing to support the LGBTQ+ community? Did you rainbowfy your doll and suite with colors? Leave a comment below.
