MSWhat? - Real Life
In the first-round frenzy of Miss Stardoll World, it can seem like getting votes is the only thing that matters. But what about your offline life?
I know I'm guilty of letting real life slide because of MSW. I've been distracted from homework by Stardoll notifications. Even when I'm with other people, my mind is often still here, thinking about what I'll do next time I log on.
While MSW is a fun and exciting time, it shouldn't be taking over your entire life. If you, like me, are having trouble tearing yourself away from your screen, try to:
put away your devices for a set amount of time. Hand over your computer to an adult or friend, and do something else for an hour or two. Go for a walk, read a book, or catch up on homework.
keep Stardoll in your free time, not mixed in with the rest of your life. If you're having lunch with your friends, don't pull out your phone to check Stardoll Access. When you have nothing else to do, then you can check in and send a few ads. Don't let the people in your life feel like they're less important than an online game.
remember that this is, after all, a game. Will your life end if you don't make it to the semifinals? No. Is it worth getting anxious, frustrated, and angry over MSW? Not really. Take a step back and remember what's really important to you.
Yes, it does take a lot of time and effort to reach the semifinals. It's crucial to remember, though, that the real world is out there, and it requires your commitment, too.
How are you balancing Stardoll and real life right now?
Til next time!
