All for One...

há 89 meses

Hello dolls,

One for all. That's what being equal is, to a point. This brings me onto the topic I really want to talk about, feminism. This word gets chucked, pushed and poked all around these days, which in some cases, is great! It's sublime that we are sparking conversation, but what isn't sublime (to the least), is misinformation. I thought it would be a great time to lay down some basics of what feminism is, and what it isn't.Camera

Feminism, in its definition, states that is "the advocacy of women's rights on the ground of the equality of sexes." So, simply, being a feminist means you believe that men and women should earn equal pay, respect and all that lies above and below it.

Now, now, now, this doesn't mean you need to be a woman to be a feminist. If a man thinks that he should be equal to a woman, he is a feminist. It's as simple as that! It just happens that women have been mistreated in the past, and still face circumstances, especially in the work environment, where they are being treated unequally to men.

Being a feminist doesn't need to be a political statement, nor does it mean that women should be more powerful than men. It's all about accepting and loving one another; the world together in unison.
