Sunday night’s Teen Choice Awards honored the actresses, actors, musicians, and athletes preferred by, well…you! With some of Hollywood’s biggest young names in attendance (Rebecca Black, no less!), the awards show is just as fun as its fashion, which, not surprisingly, included pa-lenty of short skirts and minidresses (who can blame them, though; summer’s almost over, and now’s the time to flaunt those tanned legs while we still can!). Taylor Swift was the show’s big winner, and we’ll go as far to say she was the red carpet’s big winner, too. Check out our favorite looks from the 2011 Teen Choice Awards below!

The late summer breeze is settling in, and sadly we’ll soon have to transition out of our paper-thin dresses. But thanks to one classic wardrobe staple, we won’t need to completely do away with them—enter the trench coat. Fall runways are telling us that more is better, and we couldn’t agree more on these lengthy trench coats. Last year, Aquascrutum flushed out beautifully constructed trench coats including one floor-length sleeveless trench, while Nina Ricci elaborated the sleeves of her trench with black fur. This year, fall pays homage to the lady underneath the classic trench—with a twist. Known for his avant-garde designs, Yohji Yamamoto blew us away with his usual draped-like green trench coat. Yamamoto’s attention to volume in fabrics and proportions adds his signature flare to an otherwise stick-to-trend piece—Yohji is no trend designer. By contrast, Aigner keeps fabrics at a low with just enough to show a woman’s body through classic silhouettes and structure. Aigner’s straight-forward double-breasted chocolate brown trench should be a staple in every girl’s closet. Here’s what to consider if you want warmth and length this fall:

Michael Kors is getting married! The designer and his longtime boyfriend Lance LePere were spotted at city hall earlier this week and Kors just confirmed to WWD that the two are in fact planning to wed. It sounds like the couple, who have been together for 21 years, have been waiting for the opportunity to marry in their home state of New York. There won’t be a big bash, however. Kors says, “We have no plans for a major party, but we will be getting married privately.” Congrats to the couple!

Rachel Bilson is an innovative, style (and dinnerware!) genius, but sometimes, she puts her creative, fashion-forward mind on hold and follows the lead of the designers. Yesterday, she showed up to the TCA (Television Critics Association) party for Showtime, CBS, and the CW to promote her new show Hart of Dixie in an outfit lifted straight from the Erdem resort 2012 collection. Bilson added limited accessories- a black, gold-detailed clutch and leopard pumps- to let the apparel shine. Recreate this professional, casual daytime look yourself with these pieces:

Move over Batmen of the world, there’s a new breed of dark avengers taking over the big screen: Catwomen. Gawker leaked unofficial photos of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman in the upcoming action film, The Dark Knight Rises (2012). The character of Catwoman was originally created as a supervillain in the DC Comics’ Batman franchise, but has since transformed into somewhat of a stealthy helper to Batman. Part evil-doer, part anti-hero, Catwoman is one love interest Batman can’t seem to keep his eyes off. And who can blame him. The ‘60s reeled in feline beauties Julie Newmar—the original Catwoman of Batman: The Brave and the Bold—and Eartha Kitt (who later replaced Newmar at the end of the series) popularizing the kitten role. When Batman: The Movie released in 1966, Newmar left pre-production in pursuit of other interests and was replaced by Lee Meriwether. Since then, a slew of Batman movies hit the big screens and the choice in leading ladies were more beautiful than the last. Here’s to the Catwoman of our time:

This morning, news broke that Heidi Klum won’t be hosting Project Runway All-Stars. The 9th season of Project Runway kicked off on Lifetime just last week and All-Stars is currently filming in New York without Klum. It was assumed, given Klum’s long-held spot at the top of the Runway empire, that the supermodel would host the All-Stars special, too, but a Lifetime spokesperson tells People that it’s “a completely separate show, with a separate host and a separate set of judges.” Though they’ve yet to announce who that host will be, Modelinia hears it’s Angela Lindvall. The model, who’s known for her laid back style and active role as environmentalist, wrote this on her blog last month: “Here I am in New York City! I landed a huge opportunity that will have me here for a month. Have to keep it top secret for now…” As for the judges, Miranda Kerr was recently seen hanging out with Harvey Weinstein (the show’s producer) in New York. Who should join her?

In January, Rosie Huntington Whitely was spotted wearing a body chain on the beach. It was ignored, because Rosie seems like a lovely girl who makes great fashion choices. But this week, Rihanna’s been wearing one under her white string bikini while vacationing in Barbados. Like Rosie’s, it’s thin, delicate, and barely visible. The weirdest part? We kind of like it. In theory, the body chain sounds like the worst kind of accessory. A few years ago, when Bliss Lau debuted her line of body jewelry, the idea of wearing one over an outfit, like a chunky necklace or chain belt, suddenly made sense. But we never imagined a day when we’d want to wrap our bodies in long gold chains to hop on a jet ski—until now. The best way to keep the accessory from veering into cheesy territory is to invest in fine jewelry (which you’ll have to do anyway if you actually want to swim). In the meantime, for purely experimental purposes, play around with this one from ASOS, or this sling one from Kallisti (which looks like it could be wrapped to mimic Rihanna’s).

Polish up ladies, because jewel tones are white hot for this fall. The fall 2011 ready to wear collections were choc-full of gemstone-hued ensembles from fluent frocks to structured jackets. The incandescent outfits glimmer and glow, promptly calling all attention to the brilliant garb.

Get ready to see them everywhere.

William and Kate always look good together—they’ve still got that newlywed glow—but recently, they stepped out looking a little too good together.

    Photo: Lainey Gossip

The two wore matchy-matchy ensembles as they strolled through a park in Edinburgh, both decked out in sneakers, long pants, and purple sweaters layered over collared shirts. Is it possible this was by accident? Or did they actually decide, while they were getting dressed, to match? That’s the kind of thing that may seem sweet (or not) when you’re actually in the relationship—that they longer you’re together, the more alike you start to look—but to everyone else is way too cutesy. Occasionally, it’s totally fine for pairs to strategically complement each other with their outfits. Here are some more coordinated celebrity twosomes, from best to worst:
