Hello my dear readers, I'm really proud to write this article about my favourite subject, brazilian fashion. I made a selection of my favourite brands and designers so you can know more what to buy when visiting Brazil. I'll also write about the most important brazilian top models. I hope you all like it!

BRANDS / DESIGNERS

Brazil has an incredible diversity of designers. I just love our fashion because it offers style for all kinds of people (from nerds to plastics). Here are some of my favourites:

FÓRUM: Forum is a brand for sexy women, presence women. Forum's buyers are sexy! Tufi Duek (designer) amaze us with his creations, in his exclusive collections (Forum Tufi Duek) and in the prêt-à-porter (Foum).

ELLUS: The brand is number one in Brazilian Jeanswear. It seduces us with its jeans pants and other pieces made of jeans with perfect cuts and washing. The last campaign of Ellus shows us Aggy Deyn (perfect).

CORI: If you're looking for girly and sofisticated clothes, you're looking for Cori. The brand gives us girly clothes but with a spice of elegance and sofistication, with a lot of colors and amazing prints.

ROSA CHÁ: Rosa Cha represents all the sensuality of brazilian women with elegant swimsuits. The designer Amir Slama always surprises us with his different and inovated collections. Such a luxury in swimsuits!

CARLOS MIELE: He is the king of brazilian haute-couture. Carlos Miele alwaya amaze us with perfect gowns. The colors and cuts seduces us. He already dressed Rebecca Gayheart (CSI and Ugly Betty) and the diva Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives).

These were my favourite brands. Other famous brands you might liike: Colcci, Alexandre Herchcovitch, Glória Coelho, Reinaldo Lourenço e etc.

Now, let's talk about brazilian's most important and successfull exportation (beside soccer players). They are preety, sensual, and they have a shake that no one else does.

MODELS

I only chose 3 models to represent this huge team of tops that represents Brazil worldwide.

GISELE BÜNDCHEN: Gisele has an unexplained beauty. Born in Rio Grande do Sul she started her career with 14 years old, when was discovered by Dilson Stein in a fast food. In 1999 USA Vogue said thank thanks to Gisele the 'sexy model' is back, in 2000 she was chooses as the prettyest girl in the world by Rolling Stone magazine, best model in the world by Vogue and best paid model in the world by Forbes.

I think those are only some reasons why she left Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell behind her in 'Top Icons' list by Models.com, where she now has the 1st place. The expression 'übermodel' was created exclusively for her. In her curriculum we find brands like: Valentino, Zara, Bulgari, Versace, Victoria's Secret, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Dolce & Gabbanae Louis Vuitton. Also some magazine covers like Marie Claire, Vogue, Arena, Forbes, Vanity Fair, Time, Newsweek and Rolling Stone. Gisele 'retired' of runways, now she only walks a runway in special ocasions like Dior 60 years Fashion Show and brazilian fashion weeks. Since hollywood celebrities decided to work as models the job was really devalued giving Gisele the title of 'Last Supermodel of the World', Claudia Schiffer agreed.

RAQUEL ZIMMERMAN: Born in the south of Brazil, Raquel started her career in São Paulo with 14 years old, making photoshoots for teens magazines. Zimmermann, dawn her carrer worldwide in 1999 and after that she made campaigns for Giorgio Armani and some to Victoria's Secret. She was the only model ever to be in 3 consecutive campaigns for Louis Vuitton. Her curriculum includes works for Hermès, Balenciaga, Versace, Valentino, Lacroix, and Yves Saint Laurent, also fashion editorials to the biggest fashion magazines in the whole world like, American Vogue, Vogue Paris, Vogue Itália, W Magazine, Harper's Bazaar, Elle.

Today Raquel has the 1st place in 'Top 50 Models' list of Models.com.

CAROLINE TRENTINI: She was born in south of Brazil and started her career with 14 years old (coincidence, they're all from south and all started the career with 14, hahaha) when she moved in to São Paulo and a few time later she was already in New York. But the success as top model came after she made a campaign to Marc by Marc Jacobs. Her curriculum includes: Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Versace, Chanel, Christian Dior, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana, Victoria's Secret, Balenciaga and DKNY. She was also cover for most important magazines of the world, as Vogue, Elle e W. She is Anna Wintour's sweetheart. Her last campaign was for H.Stern collection, called 'My Collection'.

Other models that shine worldwine are: Victoria's Secret Angels, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima and Izabel Goulart, also, Isabelli Fontana, Emanuela de Paula, Ana Beatriz Barros and a lot more.

THE FASHION WEEKS

The most important fashion weeks in Brazil are São Paulo Fashion Week and Fashion Rio. Both show us fashion shows of most important brands. We always have special guests, the last SPFW brought Aggynes Deyn for Ellus and Gisele Bundchen for Colcci. We also had Karolina Kurkova (with some extra pounds) for Cia Marítima in Fashion Rio (google 'Karolina Kurkova Cia Marítima' and you'll see the extra pounds). Naomi Capbell always come her for Rosa Cha.
