Helping a Stressed Friend
Feeling stressed is a horrible feeling, and we all experience it at one time or another. I can't stand seeing my friends stressed because I know just how they feel! If you're like me and want to help the people you know calm down, here are a few ways that I have found work well.
Give them a small gift or message!
Sometimes the thing that will help your friend the most is knowing that you care for them and understand what they're going through. Try sending them a message letting them know that they'll get through the stress and that you believe in them, or even bake them a batch of cookies!Give them the gift of your company!
You could always offer to come and visit your friend when they're feeling down or stressed. If they aren't busy you could do something fun together, or you could just be there for them! I always find that a hug from a friend is amazing for stress relief. It's always helpful to be friendly, but remember...Don't be distracting!
If your friend is stressed about something they have to do, the best way to stop the stress is by getting that thing done! They might just need someone to come and make sure they stay on track with an assignment or help them get a task done. Once they've done everything they need to, join them for a relaxing snack or watch a movie together - you'll both deserve it!How do you help someone who is stressed out?
