It's time I own up to the title: I'm problematic. 

Most of the problem isn't making mistakes... it's not admitting to them. Chances are, you're problematic, and just about everyone else is too (exlcuding Ezra Koenig... has he ever done anything wrong?) 

 

But most of my problems result because I have a large audience and I don't always proof read my posts. And for that, I'd like to take this blog post to take the time to apologize! 

To me, when I was responding to some of your comments, in my mind it was just, 'oh, I'm defending myself. There isn't anything wrong with that." But... as I grow as a person and so do you guys, I realize that I'm being too blunt, too harsh when responding. And in fact - it's not even responding... I was trying to 'fight fire with fire.' 

I signed up to be critiqued when I took the position of Starblogger, and for the longest time, I neglected to recognize that. I'm sorry.

So the lesson we can take out of this is: When you have a large audience, you have to watch your behaviour, and you have to be more mature than you'd probably like to. 

Even some celebrities have a lot of trouble remembering that, but it doesn't make it excusable. If you're problematic, you're problematic - no matter your status.
