Something that we don't often see, (but that we'd like to see more of) is an outing of one of the Olsen sisters. They always give us such great fashion inspiration, as they happen to be some sort of fashion chameleons who just automatically know all of the season trends before they happen. We spotted Mary-Kate Olsen arriving at her Manhattan Hotel yesterday dressed in an abstract-striped sweater, dark jeans, black boots and over-sized black bag and all we have to say is - HOT!

This week's Dream Suite features a truly dreamy suite!

ZIVYLE, who has been on Stardoll since 2008, has amassed all of the suite rooms, Penthouse, and Beach Villa, and has definitely put a lot of work into all of them!  ZIVYLE has made a space that's both clever and cosmopolitan, and uses every inch of space in each room.

Usually I have a favorite room, but this time I can't decide.  Take a look, after the jump and then visit ZIVYLE's suite today!ZIVYLE

Photo: Nicole Miller The first time Nicole Miller paired off with Indego Africa, the two produced a range of colorful bracelets in September of last year. They were a hit and earned an “Excellence in Product Design” award from the Fair Trade Federation. Nearly a year later they’re expanding that collaboration to include a few pieces of ready-to-wear. Miller sourced four different colorful patterns from markets in Rwanda to create sarongs and shorts. Her timing couldn’t be better—since Suno put African prints back on the fashion scene two years ago demand has steadily grown. This fall racks will fill up with tribal prints from Proenza Schouler and Masai-inspired prints from Thakoon which means Miller’s shorts for Indego can give you an especially inexpensive head start on one of next season’s biggest trends. Fifteen percent of the sales from the fair trade products will go toward Indego. You can buy them online or in Nicole Miller stores.

According to most, country music has a bad rap. The twangy, heartache-y tunes just don’t appeal to everyone, or so it seems. But with Taylor Swift’s domination on both pop and country charts, it’s made us think twice. Just last night at Macy’s 4th of July celebration in New York, famed country singer Brad Paisley was one of two performing acts. He headlined the event with none-other-than Beyonce. Other country stars have skyrocketed to the land of fame-dom. Carrie Underwood was the winner of the fourth season of American Idol in 2005. She’s stayed a constant figure in the public eye with her style and grace, not to mention has incredible talent, having won five Grammys.

Karl Lagerfeld's 80s flashback at Chanel.

PARIS—When you’re in the Grand Palais in Paris for a Chanel couture show and it’s been converted into the Place Vendome except that Napolean is Chanel and one minute you’re getting a Mary Poppins vibe and the next it’s like, “Woah! Tron!” and everything sparkles and the shoes light up—you’re suffering from sensory overload. So we focused on one thing, the hot pink jacket above, because it reminded us of just one reference: Working Girl. Yes, Melanie Griffith’s jacket was red, but when we Googled the hit 80s film we found the picture above left, from a short-lived TV show based on the movie starring a very young Sandra Bullock. So many awesome things in one!  Click here to check out the entire Chanel couture collection.

Just as excitement over the resort 2012 collections is dying down, a few designers—the ones with the craziest talent and imaginations—are releasing their fall 2011 haute couture collections. Among the out-there looks better left for the runway, we spotted a trend we can totally get behind: Japanese-inspired style.

    Q-Tip and Ali, 1990 Photo: Chris Carroll/Corbis

In 1998, the seminal hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest—whose jazz-infused melodies and whimsical rhymes offered a socially conscious alternative to gangsta rap in the ’90s—mysteriously called it quits. Michael Rapaport’s new doc Beats, Rhymes, & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest, out July 8, got ATCQ members on the record about their dissolution—albeit separately, since founders Q-Tip and Phife Dawg barely speak to each other. Still, the evocative, head-bobbing film isn’t all Real Housewives–style name-calling and fisticuffs (though both do occur); it’s also packed with archival footage that celebrates the foursome, whose lyrical rap influenced artists from the Beastie Boys to Pharrell. Offscreen, mudslinging began at Sundance, when Q-Tip and Tribe members Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Jarobi missed the premiere, accusing Rapaport of limiting their editorial input. Phife broke down in tears at the screening. But by spring’s Tribeca Film Fest, the group had suddenly announced their support. Here, first-time director (and lifelong fan) Rapaport explains.

This month, Free People’s featured artist is design duo Ashley Lowengrub and Dara Gerson with their eco-friendly jewelry collab, Alkemie. The couple lives a life where sustainability is key (shouldn’t we all?), so imagine their dismay when they found out what goes into most jewelry making. Ever think that purchasing that pretty gem ring actually might be aiding in hurting the environment? Finding precious metals and gem stones sometimes means dangerous work environments for children, who are also exposed to toxic chemicals from mines. The couple couldn’t bear this thought but still wanted to create beautiful pieces, so using 100% reclaimed metal—or in other words, scrap gold and metal—the duo manufactures necklaces, bracelets, belts, earrings, etc. in downtown L.A. With their love of the environment, exploration, texture and nature comes Alkemie, the art of transforming something common into something precious. Check out some of their pieces after the jump!

Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman has kept very secretive about her newborn baby boy. Not a single photo of him has leaked since his birth in June, and his name has been cloaked in absolute mystery... until now! According to Natalie's cousin, the little one's name is Alef! How quirky and sweet!
