♥ My Perspective Of Pride Month ♥
Hello, Dolls!
Throughout this past month, there have been several Pride-inspired posts. One of the most common things that I've noticed in all the posts? Hate comments.
When I say hate comments, I'm including all of the haters from all sides, LGBTQ & non-LGBTQ. It seems like every post including someone's point of view on Pride always has tons of hate comments. Hate comments on LGBTQ and hate comments on non-LGBTQ.
I'm not saying anyone's point of view is bad or good. I'm not saying we don't have rights to our opinions. All I'm saying is, instead of staying in a cycle of hate, we all have different perspectives in life, but I'm not going to change your beliefs & you won't change mine from fighting, so why fight over it?
From my perspective, yes, Pride month is about the LGBTQ community, but I feel that Pride month is also about loving each other & respecting each other! We all have rights to our opinions, but we should also respect other's opinions, no matter how different they are. I wouldn't want someone trying to take away my rights, so why should I take away someone else's? Even if I think someone's choice is wrong and weird, I haven't experienced what others have gone through, and they haven't experienced what I've gone through.
It's not a secret, I'm honestly a Christian. But I honestly & truly believe that Jesus would treat us all as friends. Please, don't take this the wrong way. These are my beliefs & perspectives, you have a right to your opinions just as much as I do! I respect all of those that think you can't support LGBTQ & be a Christian, I respect those that believe you can, and I respect those that aren't Christians. We all are humans, we all have an equal amount of flaws, and we all won't agree on the same thing
I'm not putting anyone down or forcing anyone to do anything. All I'm saying is, if we try to be the bigger person, and show love & respect to haters, then the world would be a much better place. There is always going to be someone trying to make war, but it's our choice whether we continue the war, or stop it. We can choose which way to continue the story. Continue with never-ending hate and fighting or continue with love and all agree to disagree.
You could say I support LGBTQ, you could say I don't. The honest truth is, I don't care if you're LGBTQ, or what your nationality, color, gender, etc. is. Any good person should be able to accept a good person for who they are. I'm not saying I'm a good person, everyone has different definitions of good, but let's at least try to be the best people we can be.I know several people will disagree with me, and some will say I'm not a Christian for supporting LGBTQ, but if we're equal, then neither of us ultimately decide or can change what the other one can believe.
This is just my perspective. I feel that we all wish for peace, harmony, and happiness. Amazing creatures like cats, dogs, bunnies, and birds have learned to live together, so why can't we? I'm not LGBTQ, I don't understand the community, but I respect you.
If you disagree with me, then let's just agree to disagree.♥ I wish you all a very Happy Pride Month ♥
