Book Recommendations!
I recently received a blog request to write about some of the books I love! Here are a few of them - why not give them a try?
Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass (Lewis Carroll)
These books are some of my favourites! I love their surreal humour and interesting dialog. They were first written in the Victorian era, and have had a large cultural impact on history since then. I recommend these books if you like a lighthearted, surreal read, or if you like stories that feature journeys! It's the perfect time to start reading now, as there is a new Alice Through the Looking glass movie out at the moment. The Penderwicks: A Summer Tale of Four Sisters, Two Rabbits, and a Very Interesting Boy (Jeanne Birdsall)
Before you say anything, yes I did realise that this book has a long name! I love this book because it's all about growing up, and teaches you some interesting lessons along the way. It's about four sisters who are very close to each other, moving into a new house with their father. If you'd like to know more about their adventures, you'll have to read it yourself! I recommend this book for those who like light stories with good meanings, and a focus on growing up.Ella Enchanted (Gail Carson Levine)
This book is a beautifully written fantasy about a strong girl called Ella who was given a very strange "gift" at birth. There was a movie based on this novel, but I highly suggest you read the book - nothing can compare to a good writer! I recommend this book (and the sequal) to those who like to read stories with strong female leads. What's your favourite book?
