The Future IS Female

This year, the International Day of the Girl theme is "With Her: A skilled GirlForce"

"On this International Day of the Girl, let us recommit to supporting every girl to develop her skills, enter the workforce on equal terms and reach her full potential."
by António Guterres, the United Nations Secretary General

There are roughly 7.5 billion people on Earth alive today, which is 7% of the total
-- according to the Population Reference Bureau -- 108 billion people that have been born and roamed the Earth. The United Nations estimates that out of 1 billion young people alive today, there are 600 million young girls whose human rights are going unchecked.

Remember the last time you complained about homework, or not wanting to go to school? There are girls out there that have been striped of their human right to education and are unable to work.

The U.N. established International Girl's Day on October 11, 2012 in order to promote the empowerment of girls everywhere. Every year, a new agenda is put forward. This year, partners, stakeholders, and organizations alike are being encouraged to come together and advocate for the rights of girls everywhere by bringing forth programs and resources to get girls to learn and work.

Thank you Stardoll for the sweet gift pictured above, and for observing this day in your game aimed at girls. The future IS female!
