Toxic Friends

Sometimes it's hard to accept when we have toxic friends. It can be hard cutting off a friend that you have known for years. If your friendship is making you feel insecure, depressed or anxious - it might be time to cut the ties. Here are some signs it might be time to consider moving on:

- Feeling used. If your friend only seems to be around when you are doing favors for them and it is generally one-sided, they are likely using you. Healthy friendships should be equaly favoring towards each other.

- Personality changes. Do they turn into another person when around other people? True friends don't humiliate others in order to be liked by people.

- They're never wrong. When a true friend hurts your feelings, they will do what they can to make amends. In the eyes of a toxic friend, they're never to blame.

- Put downs. Do they make you feel bad about yourself? Good friends will always try to radiate positivity. If you have a friend that puts you down - they're not only toxic but most likely jealous too.

-Untrustworthy. Do you find that the secrets you told your friend are being circulated? When a friend confides in you - they are trusting you with that information. Toxic friends that share your secrets with others don't respect your privacy.
