Writing Workshop 2

Hi dollies!

Today's writing workshop is about personal feelings, thoughts and emotions.

One day, I went through a phase where everything that I wrote felt forced, untruthful and it just wasn't my style of writing. When I was looking back at these, the only piece of writing that I kept was about the emotion: Anxiety.

Now, a successful piece of writing doesn't have to be depressing. It is always successful when it is a true and strong emotion that you felt. This is always a great place to start if you are a beginner in writing.

How to write a piece about an emotion:

1. Choose your emotion

2. Brainstorm your ideas around that one emotion.

3. Start to use similes and metaphors to describe that emotion.

4. Decide if you are writing a poem or a short story.

5. Start writing!

If you are not happy with what you have created, start over with another strong emotion you have felt!
