Time Zone Madness
In the picture above is the New Zealand flag! New Zealand is located in the Eastern and Southern hemisphere of the world, right next to the international date line.
What is the international date line?
It Is a decreed line which runs about 180° parallel to the prime meridian and decides the time of each individual country, state and island. It's cool, right?
This means that New Zealand is one of the first countries to get the new day, so for many of you, I am in the future. Unfortunately it doesn't work like that, but it's much cooler to say!
I know that many of you understand the major demerit of different time zones - missing online friends. My one tip for these people is to know your zones, or use the internet.
How?
Most members have a flag next to their name which tells you where they're from, a simple research and you can tell what the time is. The are a few exceptions regarding large countries or separate states, but at least you will have a ball point figure and if there is no flag next to the user than they don't feel comfortable sharing that information. All users, flag or no flag, should be respected by their choice.
How do you keep up friends from different time zones?
