To Logo or Not to Logo?

That is the question!

Many brands and designers cover the clothing they make with their logo or brand name, which can be difficult to style in an understated outfit! Some styles do fit with logo-covered pieces, but some don't - here's a starter guide to figure out if logos go with your style or not.

Logo Friendly

-Preppy
Although the preppy look is often very clean cut and understated, there's always room for a few small logos! In this style, logos can most often be seen on accessories like bags or sunglasses.

-Flashy
If you like the idea of wearing bigger logos, the flashy look could be for you! This style uses a lot of dramatic pieces - sparkly accessories and bright colors! As this look is based on an over-the-top aesthetic, big logos can look great with this style - even on clothes!

Logo Unfriendly

-Geek Chic
When I think of the classic geek chic look, logos never really spring to mind. Focus on finding modest sweaters and shirts to go with a pair of cute thick rimmed glasses, and save the logos for your fancy notebooks!

-Punk
Alternative styles like punk aim for a counter-culture look, so fashion logos don't really fit in. Band logos can fit very well with this style, however - experiment to see which ones go with your tartan jeans, safety pins, and mohawk!

Of course, the biggest rule of fashion is to break the rules! If in doubt, just go with your instinct of what looks best - it usually turns out great.

Do you wear logos often?
