SUBTERRANEAN SULTRY
Summer festival season may or not be over for everyone, but it’s never too early to plan your chicest trekkin’-back-to-civilization ensembles. Moving from the mosh pit to the subway saunas, this week’s Techno Goth collection will kit you out in the best underground fashion this side of downtown. Thick textiles, severe spike heels, Victorian fishnets and lace reminiscent of medieval dungeons, these pieces are punched up with a Tarzan strength that you won’t be able to resist! Influences range from legendary rocker Joan Jett to Tilda Swinton to David Bowie circa his Ziggy Stardust days.
Catch this week’s Techno Goth train to style sin city!

- Love em’ or hate em’, they’re here to stay. That’s right: high-waisted pants were huge on the runways this year and won’t be going anywhere for quite some time; we couldn’t be happier! We love the sophisticated, put-together look, but we all know that it can be difficult to wear the trend while still maintaining a figure-flattering silhouette. The worst is having your fierce high-waisted pants look like mom pants instead. But with the ’70s in full swing everywhere from Marc Jacobs to Gucci, we’ve figured out how to tailor the rest of your outfit so that high-waisted trousers will actually become the most flattering thing to happen to your figure since Spanx! Just remember: less is more when it comes to putting together an outfit with high-waisted pants. Try and keep the rest of your ensemble relatively simple to compensate for the extra material of the pants.

- For those of you who think that celebs just have to flash their card anytime they want something, think again! These celebs are on the hunt for cold hard cash. Just like us, sometimes celebs have to visit the ATM and pay with dollah dollah bills!

- We have a pretty big girl crush on Dianna Agron, she's just so pretty! Dianna recently cut her hair really short and sometimes it seems like she has a hard time styling it. We understand that a new hair cut takes some getting used to, especially if you've had long hair your whole life, so we know that Dianna will get the hang of it soon enough. And while we might prefer her with longer hair, we're wondering what you guys think? Do you like Dianna better with long hair or with short?

- How do you create the most popular TV show? Well, you need a group of funny, good looking individuals...preferably five or six. They all need different characteristics (hot, funny, geeky) and then you need a cool apartment and a fun place to hang out (coffee shop or pub). And there you have it! All the ingredients for a successful show! Both "Friends" and "How I Met Your Mother" follow this recipe and we love them equally! Maybe because they are so alike? But which one of these shows is your favorite?

- These stylish ladies certainly have a lot going for them. From part-time models to full-time fashionistas, these talented DJs and trendy it-girls have dominated more than just the music scene lately. Not only do they rock the turn tables, they also impress the crowds with their stylish ensembles behind the DJ booth. Check out which DJ’s wardrobes we’re most envious of.

- If you've ever been afraid to wear pastels, just look at Jordana Brewster for inspiration! The actress went for a monochrome look with a lavender shirt tucked into her lilac shorts! The light purples look so great with her tan and shiny brown hair! Throw in a pair of neutral heels and you have the perfect pastel look! If you're not willing to go all pastel like Jordana, throw on a pair of cutoff denim short or wear a pair of pastel jeans with a simple white tee!

Premium Last week, Ali Lohan made headlines for something other than being Lindsay’s little sister. The 17-year-old Long Island native signed with NEXT, the modeling agency that reps everyone from Alexa Chung and Anja Rubik to Molly Sims and Arizona Muse. The littlest Lohan’s already given music, movies and TV a shot, but given the speed with which she landed her first modeling contract she may have better luck with this field. Lohan just shot PRVCY Premium’s fall campaign, a sort of sequel to that scandalous 6126 shoot she did for her big sister in which she wore see-through sweater dresses and lace mini skirts. Though PRVCY Premium’s moving in a “vamped up design direction,” Ali’s black and whites are (thank goodness) more age-appropriate. The campaign was shot by Collin Stark and will be used for the brand’s look book, line sheets and online advertising campaign.
