Who: Miranda Kerr
What: Monday Night’s CFDA Awards at Lincoln Center
Wear: Head-to-toe Michael Kors 2012 resortwear
Miranda Kerr was pregnant just five months ago, but by the looks of it, you’d never guess. The model arrived at last night’s 2011 CFDA Awards in this slim-fitting cut-out Michael Kors dress from his 2012 resort collection. Kerr rocks the svelte black dress with Kors-designed gold metallic cuffs and belt with dusty-rimmed shoes. Add in a slicked-back chignon, and the buoyant ensemble is anything but understated. What was your favorite look of the night?

- Photos: Narciso Rodriguez, Jason Wu, Donna Karan New Yorkers have officially swapped their black basics for white. Like the spring 2011 runways predicted, bags, shoes, dresses, pants, tees—it’s all white. Looking ahead to spring 2012, based on this month’s resort shows, crisp whites will be edged in black. Narciso Rodriguez showed a shiny black and white coat as well as the layered shift dress at left. At Jason Wu, it was slightly less formal, but still crisp with black and white tuxedo shorts, and Donna Karan worked Narciso’s curves onto a futuristic-looking suit. Other designers, including Yigal Azrouel and Diane von Furstenberg, have mixed equally sharp black and white lines with bright, bold colors.

At last month’s AmFar gala in Cannes last month, a Louis Vuitton makeup trunk was auctioned off with an added bonus—a tour of the Louis Vuitton factory in France. That alone was probably worth the many thousands of euro price tag to some. Despite an endless number of fashion documentaries and photo essays dedicated to sketches and inspiration, the real work, the foundation of what we see on the runway, is mainly hidden from public view. On October 15th and 16th LVMH will open 22 of its companies to those wondering what happens behind the scenes of a luxury heritage brand. They’re inviting the public to tour a range of facilities including private homes, vineyards and workshops in France, Italy, Scotland, Spain and Poland. LVMH promises that all of their major fashion houses will be involved, too. Those interested in securing a tour will be able to sign up online, though room will be saved for walk-ins. And the best part is, it’s free!

- Since 2002, many pipe dreams have been inspired by Kate Bosworth’s feisty attitude and command of the waves in Blue Crush. Sasha Jackson, Sharni Vinson, Elizabeth Mathis, and Rosie Hodge took these dreams to the set, once again, carrying out the legacy of female fortitude as the leading ladies in Blue Crush 2, hitting DVD and Blu-Ray June 7.

The sequel follows Dana (Sasha) as she embarks upon an ambitious journey across the breathtaking southern coast of Africa to fulfill her mother’s dream of surfing the revered surf spot, Jeffery Bay. Along the way, Dana and her fun-loving friend Pushy (Elizabeth) face fierce competition. With awe-inspiring aquatic stunts performed by world-renowned surfer Rosie Hodge, this flick will get surely get audiences running the beach. We had the opportunity to get to know the ladies behind the scenes. Check it out!

It’s finally here, the moment high schoolers have all been waiting for—graduation season. From prom to graduation, seniors have a lot on their plates as they prepare for the next step in their lives, especially if they’re already household names in Hollywood or on the runway. They can barely legally drive, yet they’re already world-class travelers. They’re certainly not your typical high school students, but that hasn’t stopped actresses Dakota Fanning, Selena Gomez, and models Lindsey Wixson and Karlie Kloss from reaching that most-important milestone of high school graduation this June.

Instead of taking the fashion world by storm, Elisa Sednaoui’s slowly staking her claim alongside major brands. Last year, she signed a contract with Giorgio Armani and modeled for Diane von Furstenberg. Since then she’s earned various editorial work and popped up at major fashion shows and events. Today, it sounds like she’s balancing the glam with something more accessible—shopbop. The online retailer just Tweeted that they’re shooting their fall campaign in Chappaqua with the 23-year-old Italian. Their mood board features “neo-hippie” hair, Alexa Chung, Arizona Muse and one long camel coat. Bringing on someone like Sednaoui, with a high fashion background (and high fashion looks) suggests a new direction for shopbop—one we’re excited to see.

What: Spike TV’s 5th Annual Guys Choice Awards in Culver City, CA
Wear: The Row dress, Brian Atwood VB sandals, Marian Cage necklace and earrings, Dana Rebecca ring, and Salvatore Ferragamo clutch.
The British beauty was white hot in a floor-length white dress this weekend at the Spike TV’s 5th Annual Guys Choice Awards, where she beat out Victoria’s Secret model Candice Swanepoele for the ‘Our New Girlfriend’ award. Compared to the dramatic deep-V neck, a modest slit up the front showed off just a sliver of skin. The model-turned-actress looked dazzling in this sophisticated number by The Row, however some tailoring around the bust definitely would’ve improved her look. Thankfully, her bronzed Brian Atwood heels and jewels by Marian Cage and Dana Rebecca sparkled in all the right places.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s been all over the place lately—in the kitchen with her cookbook, on stage at the Grammy’s, belting out lyrics on Glee, and in the Coach offices with Reed Krakoff. The one place she’s been surprisingly absent? The Twittershpere, until today that is. Gwyneth’s decided to join her other celebrity friends on Twitter this afternoon and within hours of her account set up and first tweet, she’s reached 30,000 followers. We aren’t surprised that the GOOP girl’s gotten into the Tweeting game, but it’s kind of surprising it took her this long. Gwyneth’s first Tweet offers a video announcing that she’s, “trying to join in the 21st century.” Considering the girl’s got about a million things to say, or promote rather, we’d guess Twitter’s the perfect platform. Whether she wants to share recipes, snap photos of her enviable daily wardrobe, post clips from her possible new album, or give us sneak peeks at her new Coach ads, there’s no doubt that @GwynethPaltrow will become one of the most followed handles on Twitter.

The most famous dress that ever was—at least in this century—is finally going on public display. There’d been a lot of speculation that the lace Alexander McQueen dress Sarah Burton made for Catherine Middleton’s royal wedding to Prince William would make its way to the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the opening of the McQueen exhibition. It didn’t, but it will be out and about in Buckingham Palace starting July 23rd and running through October 3rd. The Fiona Cairne-designed Royal Wedding Cake—a traditional English fruticake—will be on display in the Royal Dining Room as well, all in celebration of the Palace’s summer opening. A collection of Faberge eggs will also be on display, for an extra dose of royalty.
