First it was Gwyneth Paltrow, then it was Kate Bosworth, and now the Olsens are the latest celebs to launch a customized-shopping website. With so many star-turned-stylists’ websites out there, it’s hard to keep track of who runs what. We break down the best celeb-fronted shopping sites and the inspiration behind them.

In 2009, Paltrow launched goop.com, a website that offers the reader inside scoop on things to do and places to go based on her own personal indulgences. She gives great advice on where to eat, shop, and even things to cook (she also has a cookbook called My Father’s Daughter). The self-proclaimed foodie proves her love for all things organic, healthy, and all-around delicious on her website as well, with special home-cooked recipes and do-it-yourself meals, featuring videos of Gwyneth cooking them herself. Her style section shows pics of Gwyneth looking fab with a Net-A-Porter-powered shopping-guide to her stylish selections. Although way out of the normal girl’s budget (ahem…a McQueen purse and Louboutin sandals…a girl can dream) she always looks on point with her fashionable suggestions. Then there’s the Do section, where Gwyneth offers advice as to things to do (shocker) if you want to relieve stress, improve your etiquette, or even how to overcome your sugar-addiction. This lifestyle blog covers almost every topic that’s relevant to the everyday girl, but with a slightly pricey price tag attached. Check out Gwyneth’s personal creation for yourself at goop.com.

Next there’s Kate Bosworth’s JewelMint, for which she’s teamed up with friend and stylist Cher Coulter to create one-of-a-kind retro/vintage-inspired jewelry accessories, all for affordable price of $29.99. Members join for free and then through a style quiz, customized pieces of jewelry are recommended in your personal “showroom” based on your style selections, as well as weekly trend reports and member-only deals and exclusives. The jewelry picks rotate monthly, so you’re constantly getting new suggestions. There’s no charge until you purchase an item, and you can skip any month if you’re not feeling the selections that month. What’s cool about this website is you get that personalized shopping experience, with help from one of the trendiest girls around—Kate Bosworth. We wouldn’t mind getting a little help from this It-Girl, and for the manageable price of 30 bucks, these jewelry finds are hard to say no to. Sign up for free at jewelmint.com.

Lastly, there’s the June 30th launch of StyleMint (sister site to JewelMint—hence the name), in which Mary-Kate and Ashley offer customized T-shirt selections for again, just $29.99 each (and free shipping!). Through a style profile quiz, monthly suggestions are offered with stylish T-shirts created by the dynamic Olsen duo. With quite the impressive fashion resume under their belt, these two have got you covered if you’re looking for super-soft blended tees, and not to mention, getting a “customized” shopping experience from Mary Kate and Ashley themselves…not bad! Sign up for free and take your style quiz at stylemint.com. So why have these A-list celebs decided to extend their empires to new blogs and shopping websites? Well, we’re not quite sure…maybe they’re bored (just kidding). But we certainly don’t mind getting a little extra advice from some of the coolest fashionistas around. What are you favorite celeb-based sites for style? Sound off in the comments!
