Crowned: The Mother of All Pageants

206个月之前

Reality TV fans, and more than a few super popular Stardolls got their start on Reality TV (LC, Brooke, Bam and Kelly, you know who you are), may want to tune in to The CW this December 12 to check out the premiere of the new show “Crowned: The Mother of All Pageants” Mothers and daughters from all walks of life compete together ─ and against other mother/daughter teams ─ in order to win.

Faced with challenges that focus on preparing them for the pageant show finale, the women will have to brand a ‘style’ for their mother/daughter team via clothing and swimwear, create ways of expressing a point of view about issues in the world, and practice for the big pageant dance number.

Personal Style Branding … now that's a concept with some legs. Not only do good looks, talent and a penchant for world peace have to run in the family, each team must also have patience, teamwork and a healthy sense of humor.

In the end, one mother/daughter team will be “crowned” the winner and will receive a valuable prize package, including a $100,000 cash award, and, of course, a fabulous pair of tiaras. Half the fun with Reality TV is tuning in and seeing who you are going to root for.

The judges should be loads of fun too: there's everybody's fave quipmeister Carson Kressley from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Carson does funny and endearing like no other blonde on TV; pageant and reality–TV veteran Shanna Moakler, who was Miss USA and whose marriage had its own show Meet the Barkers (her resume must have really popped during those judge interviews) and charming, attractively freckled interviewer Cynthia Garrett from Later with Cynthia Garrett. She does for freckles what cinnamon does for cappuccino.

It promises to be like 'Little Miss Sunshine' all grown up … without the Oscar nominations. The Emmys? Well we'll have to wait and see. Tune in Wednesday at 9pm/10pm ET/PT and find out.
