Job Interview Tips

106个月之前

Hi dolls.

I did a post a couple of weeks back about Appraisals in the work place. On this post a couple of users wrote in the comments they wanted to see a post of tips for job interviews.

So this post is for them and all of you who may be looking for advice like this.

Here are my tips:

Dress accordingly. This means tailored clothes - smart/casual - depending on the role you're applying for. First impressions are crucial!

Take a bottle of water with you. This means between questions you can take a drink whilst you collect your thoughts before you start speaking.

Knowledge of the business. This is invaluable! In most interviews a question regarding what you know of the business is usually always asked.

References. If you're asked about your previous employment history you must make sure you're references for this are available on request, should the potential employer want to look into them.

Rephrasing. If you're not sure what a question asked means you can ask the person interviewing you to rephrase this! A lot of people usually just answer even if they don't know what it means! Don't do this! This could be the different between being accepted and being rejected.

Asking questions. When the end of the interview comes the person interviewing you will ask if you have any questions. This is your time to show how interested you are in the role. Ask questions such as; What's the potential for growth within the business? What perks are there for working there? What hours are you expected to work? Is there over time? How soon does the role start?

Well dolls, these are my job interview tips! What are yours?

Hope this post helps you.
