While the majority of the Stardoll population is made up of girl dolls, many boy dolls also come here to experience fashion, friends, and fun like everyone else. But are boy dolls catered to enough?

NOTE: I am using the term "boy doll" to refer to a doll that uses the straight legged, muscular body type on Stardoll. Remember that the owner of a doll may not be the same gender as the way they express themselves on Stardoll - both in real life and on Stardoll, people have many different gender identities, and that's okay!

Clothing Availability
It makes sense that there are more girl doll clothes available than boy doll clothes, as there are many more people who use a girl doll, but this does mean boy dolls have less options when it comes to styling their dolls. Many dolls would like to see some items shaped for boy dolls in every collection - and I think that's a great idea!

Mean Comments
Another worrying thing I sometimes see on Stardoll is dolls saying mean things to boy dolls, just because they present as male and like fashion. This reinforces harmful gender stereotypes! What's more, some of your favourite fashion lines are curated by male designers. Gender is never something to make fun for something about, even if someone's gender identity doesn't conform to what you might usually see.

What Can We Do?
Here are a few things we can do to help.
- Support the inclusion of boy shaped clothing items in more stores
- Do not make fun of anyone for their gender identity
- Report bullying to Stardoll
- Spread positivity towards everyone on Stardoll!
