Get Goddess Legs in Two Easy Steps

Any layperson would agree: Jennifer Lopez’ legs are pretty much the stuff of dreams. To that end, Venus recently challenged a group of online media to achieve goddess gams like those of their global ambassador, Lopez, by organizing a group leg-toning session with trainer to the stars Tracy Anderson.

Anderson, who’s helped sculpt the epic physiques of Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna, has partnered with Venus as the brand’s fitness expert to promote their latest razor, ProSkin MoistureRich, which includes shave gel bars, enhanced with body butters to protect skin. Anderson explained that the collaboration was natural: Shaving, like working out, is a year-long activity. Similarly, just as the the trainer is adamant about customizing her workouts for women, Venus raises awareness that a men’s razor just won’t do for the perilous curves of a gal’s gams.

When it comes to getting your own limbs long, lean and lithe, Anderson encourages shunning diets and six-day-a-week workouts in the privacy of your own home. To that end, she’s created her own workout DVDs tailoring workouts to address different problem areas. During the event, the editors were introduced to several leg  strengthening moves. Want to give it a go yourself? Anderson’s method mostly relies on one’s own body resistance (and occasionally free weights), so it’s easy to do in your own living room.

A) From a plank starting position, place your right knee on the mat at an inverted angle.

B) Kick the right leg up and behind, holding it about a foot and a half higher than your hip, while making sure your hip stays angled toward the mat and your butt stays down. Bring leg back and repeat/switch sides.
