With this look, I used the tactic of ensuring the two denim pieces are two different colors (these two colors being black and your typical denim color).

The tan shoes contrast with the faux fur on the denim coat - creating a hipster edge to the outfit.



For my second outfit, I took a different turn at styling double denim. Though it may differ, I would still consider it on trend.

The tartan holes make the jeans the focus of the outfit. The plain white tee shirt also adds to this effect. To style this outfit further I would add the tartan jumper tie around from the store Nelly.
