One of the best things about being a stardoll member is that you can meet all kinds of people from all over the world. I teamed up with Suheily90 to create a new segment that will allow you to learn from all the great countries and the people from them that use Stardoll. The featured country for this week inhabits one of the fashion capitals of the world; France!

 FACT: France is the birthplace of legendary fashion designer Coco Chanel!

 There are three main types of clothing in French fashion: haute couture, prêt-à-porter (as known as "ready-to-wear") and lingerie. The fashion term, haute couture, refers to high-end, tailor-made clothing. You know designers like Chanel, Christian Dior or Louis Vuitton - they also design haute couture! The history of prêt-á-porter goes back to 1966, when Yves Saint Laurent revolutionized the industry by designing ready-to-wear clothes that were manufactured for mass distribution.  French lingerie includes designs incorporating various delicate fabrics made of lace, silk and/or other fine materials.
