Strong, bold colors are really hot for this summer and just about every celebrity seem to have embraced the trend! Just a few days ago, we spotted actress Eva Mendes celebrate the trend when she arrived for a meeting at Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles. Eva wore bright red pants and a lovely teal Miu Miu bag which she broke off with a simple white tee and striped sweater.

Ancient Egyptian artifacts have lasted thousands of years, and over that time, millions of people have visited museums and ancient monuments to be reminded of the culture, beauty, and style of the now long-gone society.

Lover her or hate her, former The Hills star Audrina Patridge looked good when she attended an event last weekend in Atlantic City. Instead of attracting attention  in an ultra-tight outfit, the TV personality directed eyes to herself by choosing an unexpected color combo: orange and pink.

It’s always fun to play with prints and colors in an outfit, and it’s certainly tempting to pile layer upon layers of jewelry. But it’s the classic pieces with unconventional silhouettes that make people do a double-take. From fashion bloggers to royalty, these women know that sometimes a few folds and cuts here and there can go a long way. Take the cue from these beautiful fashion icons who know that it’s all in the details.

From Suno's fall collection. Photo: Imaxtree The CFDA announced their Fashion Fund nominees yesterday evening; winners will be announced at a dinner in New York City on November 14th. A win marks a huge moment for a designer, granting them a few hundred thousand dollars, a mentor within the industry and the chance to design a capsule collection for J.Crew, the fund’s head sponsor. Diane von Furstenberg leads the judging committee which will, for the first time, include Jack McCullough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Shouler—the first winner’s of the CFDA Fashion Fund Award eight years ago—as well as Jenna Lyons and Reed Krakoff. So who’s up for it? Joseph Altuzarra, Pamela Love, Carlos Campos, Cushnie et Ochs, Fenton/Fallon, Suno, Ohne Titel, Finn Jewelry, Creatures of the Wind and Antonio Azzuolo for A.A.  Each of the finalists will spend the summer whipping up a “special design project” for L’Oreal and in the fall one winner and two runners-up will be named.

We spotted Bruce Willis & Demi Moore's daughters Rumer and Tallulah Willis out shopping together in Beverly Hills on Friday. The sisters showed off some serious hippie style with their long wavy hair, colorful maxi skirts and big black boots! We have to say that it's refreshing to see celebrity kids who have truly found their own style!

It’s the song we STILL can’t get out of our heads, the song that’s so hypnotizing that it’s certainly infected us with its poison. The mesmerizing music video for her song ‘E.T. (Extraterrestrial)’ featuring Kanye West (no surprise here as the rapper’s got a keen sense of style) portrays Katy Perry as a flawless alien—with breath-taking outfit changes—floating around with lightning quick flashes, helixes, and dystopic war visions. Although the vid came out in March, it’s time we take some cues from this video and try walking on a different fashion wavelength. While we may not be fans of Black Milk’s Steve Buscemi dress, the clothing company has some stellar (time to revive this word) galaxy dresses and leggings. Let us tell you, these dresses are out of this world…ha, ha. Whether you’re a skeptic or true-believer in all things out-there—dreams, aliens, space, and alternate universes—these inspired pieces belong in a realm of their own—and maybe even your own wardrobe. Glow like Katy Perry and feel the power as you transform yourselves in these supersonic items that we have searched far and wide for.

    Who: Maria Sharapova
What: Jewel-adorned Alexander McQueen dress and heels, Hellmuth earrings
Wear: The 2011 ESPYS presented by ESPN at the Nokia theatre in L.A. last night

Tennis-playing phenom Maria Sharapova wore Alexander McQueen from head to dazzling toe at last night’s 2011 ESPY (Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly) Awards. The black minidress from McQueen’s pre-fall 2011 collection looked just as show-stopping on the red carpet as it did on stage, where she presented the award for Best Upset alongside NBA player Amar’e Stoudemire to Virginia Commonwealth University basketball coach Shaka Smart. The ultra-low back, sexy slit, and short skirt amped up Sharapova’s seductive appeal, and we love how the tennis great pulled off the luxe jewel-encrusted look with the same laid-back confidence she showcases every season on the court. As a final touch to her otherwise all-Alexander-McQueen look, the stunning athlete chose perfectly matching black-and-gold Hellmuth earrings. Maria Sharapova is currently the fifth ranked player by the Women’s Tennis Association and was seeded fifth at this year’s Wimbledon tournament.

Chanel Fall 2011 Haute Couture, IMAXTREE

The couture shows in Paris came to an end last week, but there’s a trend that we just can’t shake off. Make that two trends: fingerless gloves and finger half-gloves. Chanel kept to its signature look this season with tweed skirt and cropped jacket suits but added a surprisingly chic pair of fingerless gloves to almost every look. Leather, lace, mesh, and even feathers were used to make these palm warmers. Often associated with punk kids and goth rockers, these fingerless gloves added a sweet and unexpected touch of class to Chanel’s runway looks. The best part? You get to use your iPod without having to remove your gloves! Here’s how to get the look:
