Hey Dolls! You asked, and Raul answered some great questions about himself and about security on Stardoll!
1. How do you manage pressure of making sure everything is in order and things are dealt with? X

Thanks for this question, goldiegem! We prioritize prioritize prioritize! My team reviews reports, looks for trends, and chats with the customer support team and engagement team when we determine an action needs to be taken. Often there are patterns that emerge when that information is gathered, and we use it to inform our decisions. For example, sometimes there will be a significant amount of copycats at work, so we’ll do a deep dive into tracking those cheaters. The next week we’ll see several phishing scammers sharing links that promise free Stardollars or Superstar, and that will take up the majority of our time, tracking them and getting them shut down. By keeping connected with the staff that interacts with our members most (customer support and engagement), we are best able to deal with issues that arise in a timely manner.
2. Hey Raul! My sister had a doll last year, but she was inactive for months ... now she wants to log in, but the account has been deleted by Stardoll :( What can she do, can she get the account back? Please answer!! She is so sad.

Good question, desireeleardi_. I imagine your sister will be able to get her account back as long as it wasn’t closed for breaking the rules. Have her write into Customer Support. There is a full list on that page that explains what information is required so they can help find and reactivate the account.
PRO-TIP for everyone looking to retrieve an old account: if it’s been a very long time of inactivity, and you remember your doll’s user ID number (the unique number that is seen at the end of the URL when someone visits your doll's Suite) or if one of your friends can look up that information which shows instead of your username on comments etc. that you made when you were logged in, our support team can find the account quite quickly with that number. You will still need to provide the requested information to confirm you are the account’s owner, but that number will help them find the account in question.
3. Is it possible for us to be a free Superstar?

Hey irmStar! Very occasionally, we will have an in-game promotion that gives away Superstar as a prize in a contest or as part of a cross-promotion, so always keep your eyes open for those opportunities. If someone tells you they need your login information and they will give you free Superstar, they are a scammer and you should report them using the report tool. If you see a website other than Stardoll’s own (stardoll.com) offering it, it is a scam and you should let us know so we can have it taken down from the internet.
4. What is your recruitment story?

Well, mmhnyrl, it's quite a story. I am a gamer and have been my whole life. As a youth, I would use my computer skills to break rules in games. As a grown-up, I realize that it’s not cool to do that and have spent my adult life helping games prevent people who scam and cheat games, because they ruin the experience for everyone.
I came to Stardoll as someone who has that kind of knowledge which helps me and my team because I have been in the shoes of the people we protect against. In my time here I have learned way more than I ever wanted or needed to know about fashion, but what drew me to the company was that it’s a progressive and feminist group of people who work here and make a game, and that can be a rare and valuable thing in gaming. The gaming world needs more equality-minded folks, and I am proud to help do that and I take my job of keeping the game as fair as possible for everyone very seriously.
5. Do you enjoy taking care of the Stardoll community?

I absolutely do, mowrty. It’s my privilege to work here and I am in awe of our members’ creativity and self-expression.
6. Unfortunately when I participate in Spotlight, several dolls enter my suite with fake accounts. I block everyone, plus I wonder if these visits can hurt my doll in any way, even though I have blocked the fake accounts.

Fake accounts cannot hurt your doll, Mony_Mary. Our systems detect fake accounts and block any voting they do from the tallies we take in competitions. That is why we don't share too much information about the voting process and timeline in order to prevent cheaters from using that information to their advantage.
7. Is Callie a real person or a pseudonym?

Hi monchichigirl1! Callie is the real deal (as you can see from her Callie Confidential post from Friday), and she is the best boss I have ever had.
Hi, how does Stardoll handle bullying? How do you as staff deal with the bully and what happens to them? Do they get a warning or get their account removed?

Thank you for asking this important question, YouLetMeFly. Bullying is not tolerated. If we see it, we track it and look back through the bully’s behavior and take action. That is why using the report tool to inform us is so important. Without it, it can be difficult to investigate. You need to report the language they are using and how it bullies you, so we know exactly what is going on. My heart breaks for anyone getting bullied and it is stressful to us when someone uses the report tool and says the person they report is being a bully, but not explaining how, because we don’t have the time or resources to go through pages and pages of chat to find bullying behavior, which can sometimes seem like innocent conversation to an outsider.
Action taken depends on the situation. If it’s someone who said something mean once, they may get a warning. If it’s someone who is getting others involved with attacking another member, or creating accounts in order to harass someone who has blocked them, stronger action is taken.
