The "Not Secure" Warning
Google is trying to scare you. Instead of just encouraging websites to encrypt their connections they now label any page of a site that isn’t using HTTPS with “Not Secure” in the address bar.
HTTPS encrypts the connection between your computer and the site you’re visiting. That ensures that the information isn’t intercepted, but it is not necessary if you are not using a credit card or entering other sensitive information.
It takes a reworking of the programming of each page to make a website not have the “not secure” label, which is why you see it so much. It isn't really necessary, and it is a lot of trouble.
It appears as if Google trying to bully everyone into conforming to an unreasonable standard. It is not nice, especially when it makes people feel unsafe.
You will notice that most of the pages of Stardoll have the "Not Secure" label in the address bar. You do not need to worry about it. If you ever go to purchase SS or SD you will find those pages have the HTTPS encryption so it is safe to enter your card information.
Please keep in mind your browser can be set to warn you about real unsafe sites--ones you should not visit. Having the "Not Secure" warning all the time for sites that pose no danger is actually detrimental. It makes users less aware of real warnings.Play safe and have fun.
