CORINE & THE SECRET SHOES #4

Corine walked out of the shop all lost and confused. Who was that man? Why did he give her the shoes? Where did those shoes even come from to be magic?... Questions were rolling in her head so fast that she had to take a moment to sit down on the bench in front of the shop. "Well, you seem lost; have questions about the shoes I'm guessing," said a voice. Corine turned her head and there he was, the man from the day before.

"Corine, I gave you those shoes to protect you from the Evil coming your way. I know it might be confusing but I need you to trust me. That is all I can tell you for now," said the man with a serious look on his face. "Wait, how do you know my name? Who are you? What do you mean the shoes will protect me? Protect me from what Evil?" asked Corine in a rush. "All your questions will be answered soon, I promise you…" replied the man while walking away. "WAIT! You can't just say stuff to creep me out like that and walk away!" yelled Corine before noticing that the man was already gone.

Corine was alone in the street. Where did this man disappeared to? Who was he?She was completely confused and thought she should tell her mom and the police about it. Who knew--maybe that man was dangerous? But in a way, she felt she could trust him. Was she going insane? No, before doing anything, she needed to talk to her mother about all of this...
