Under Eye Bags?

88 miesięcy temu

Hello, dolls!

I'm sure most of us have been in the above situation (no, not a black eye!). A late night, an early morning, and it seems our eyes are ready to take their revenge. If you're a caffeine-dependent night owl such as myself, dark circles or 'bags' underneath your eyes are a common occurrence, and often finding a way to cover them to make you look well-rested and refreshed is difficult.

If you are having trouble building coverage with your current concealer, try a different concealer, with fuller coverage. My dark circles are particularly bad, so I use a lighter shade than my normal concealer, as well as one with a much thicker formula. Concealers that come in pots are usually thicker, and perfect for the job. Otherwise, you could give the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer, which is a cult-favourite for this issue!

Another avenue could be giving colour correcting a go! If it sounds daunting - don't worry, it's a relatively simple makeup skill to master and perfect for when your concealer just isn't covering that one spot or those dark circles. Because dark circles usually run in blue-ish hues, use an orange colour corrector to cancel out the colour, and place foundation or concealer on top! This technique can also be used with redness or dullness. In Australia, Rimmel has recently released a three-colour correcting palette, the Insta Conceal and Correct Palette, which I'm finding works wonders in the morning!
