TDHeather39110 is a Stardoll socialite and talented hair designer. She has been designing for a long time, but was previously non-Superstar, so she couldn't sell her designs... luckily for us, that has changed! I interviewed her about her design process.

Q. Where do you get your design inspo from?
A. Usually, an idea forms in my head, and I just see where it takes me! Sometimes I use my own hair as inspiration- hence why I have so many black wigs. A lot of designers use a photo reference, but I find it easier to start from scratch and make it up as I go.

Q. You have a design style that differs from other current designers. How did you manage to develop your own style when it's easier to learn from what others do?
A. Every designer has their own design style. If you get to know each designer, you can tell who a wig is designed by without looking at the tag. Like most people trying out hair design for the first time, I turned to video tutorials. They're great for learning the basics of making hair, but I didn't feel like I really designing for myself, if that makes sense... like it wasn't completely me. So I stopped watching tutorials and started to make what I thought looked best.

Q. What are your best tips?
A. My number one tip is to practice. Pretty obvious, but it's the only way to improve. Ask your friends what they think. It's good to get an opinion from a consumer's point of view.
