Photo: Getty Images In 2012, it’s pretty much a given that fashion shows will be livestreamed online.  But that they’ll include running commentary?  That’s not so expected. While KCD’s busy readying their first ever online only fashion show—an experience they promise will equal a real life production—Theory’s just announced their plan for dialogue over their AW12 Theyskens collection.  Derek Blasberg and Moda Operandi’s Lauren Santo Domingo will chat up the online crowd before the show starts at noon on Monday February 13th. It sounds like they’ll speak during the show as well, which may or may not be a plus for audiences at home.  No one’s particularly chatty during the ten or so minutes models are actually on the runway and it’s a welcome moment of silence (or good music) from the week’s noise.  Blasberg and Santo Domingo are good friends, so their rapport will probably be fun to listen to, but do you want an announcement each time a model walks out? Or a new look bows?  Didn’t think so.

As dressing like your boyfriend becomes less a trend and more a classic style, the line between men’s and women’s wear continues to blur. Yes, they’re still in separate departments, but like Barneys knocked down the wall between theirs its increasingly easier to shop both sides. So we imagine there’s a loyal contingent of women who will be thrilled to hear that Richard Chai‘s the new creative director of Filson—and you don’t even have to wait a season to see what he’s done. Part of Chai’s first collection for the heritage brand will be on display at his ready-to-wear show on February 9th, just a week from today.  To start, they’re offering six of Filson’s classic jackets in new fabrics like beige and charcoal wool or navy suede with waxed denim.  In a slight twist, Chai actually approached the brand and offered his services.  Filson’s CEO told WWD, “We met and it was like he’d read our book. He was clearly smack dab in the middle of the vision we had for growth.” Chai said, “Our partnership will be rooted in everyday wear, approachable with unexpected fabrications and details that are signature to my collections, all while staying true to the heritage of the Filson brand.”  And there’s no contract, so as long as it keeps working the two will continue their collaboration.

After 7 years together, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie seem to be ready for marriage. The couple has received a lot of pressure to get engaged, but not only from the media and press. The six children of the Jolie-Pitt family has been nagging their father about proposing. "We're getting a lot of pressure from the kids," Brad says. "It means something to them." The kids begged him to "get mommy a ring," to which Brad vowed: "Okay, I will! I will." We totally agree with the kids! Put a ring on it, Brad! (usweekly)

Half of the X-Factor team just got the boot! According to insiders, the judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul and the show host, Steve Jones, all were fired. "They survived this year, but it didn’t really work. So they’ve figured they have an opportunity to fix it," the insider says. "They expected Paula to be the goofy girl, and Nicole to be the pretty one. But Paula was so bad that it made none of it work." Ouch, too bad, guys! But why not just step over to the more successful show, The Voice? Ha! (thewrap)

Rob Tarbell posiada niezwykły talent. Przez spalanie przedmiotów codziennego użytku i kontrolowanie przepływu dymu potrafi on stworzyć niezwykłe obrazy na płótnie podwieszonym pod sufitem swojej pracowni. Aż chce się powiedzieć – wow!  Nie próbujcie robić tego w domu!

Dziś chciałam przedstawić Wam nietypową artystkę. Amerykanka Magda Sayeg wpadła na pomysł, żeby stworzyć nowe graffiti. Otóż ta sympatyczna Pani ozdabia miasto, własnoręcznie dzierganymi sweterkami.

With winter well underway, the only shoes worth shopping for are ones that keep your feet warm and protected—and who says they can’t be stylish too? Booties are back for yet another season, this time in a bevy of new styles, heights, and colors. We love a bootie with a nice chunky heel because it gives you a few extra inches without making you cry out in pain like impossible-to-wear stilettos. If you can add one item to your shoe closet this season, it’s the stacked heel bootie. Here’s why: Longevity: The stacked heel bootie is by no means a new footwear development. Frye has carried their two-inch heeled harness boot for generations, and Acne gave the shoe a chic update when they debuted their much sought-after Pistol boot seasons ago. Now, numerous designers have adopted the trend and made it their own with edgy and urban styles perfect for the trendy girl. Wearability: These boots were made for walking. You can wear stacked heel booties around all day and they won’t kill your feet. Versatile, comfortable, and easy-to-wear, these shoes transition perfectly from day to night. Pair them with skinny jeans and a chunky wool sweater for class and then wear them with a flirty LBD in the evening—they’ll toughten up your look. Personality: Suede? Check. Leather? Check. Different colors? You got it. This season’s stock of stacked heel booties come in so many different designs that there is bound to be one to suit your personal style. Make the shoe your own by wearing it in an unexpected way: with knee socks and shorts or skirts. Save vs. Splurge?: Splurge! Stacked heel booties are a staple for any girl’s winter wardrobe, and considering that they’ve been in style for years now, we don’t see them going anywhere anytime soon. Unlike a junky sandal or ballet flat, high-quality booties are fashioned from the finest leather and suede, built to last and endure many snowfalls. Consider it an investment! Splurge options:
