We hope you guys had a good Memorial Day! Some of our favorite celeb families like Katie Holmes and little Suri celebrated by playing on the beach. We also spied Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale with their cuties Kingston and Zuma. These photos are so much fun, they'll make you want to build sand castles and play in the waves!

We love celebs a lot! Duh! We have a few vintage tees that have our favorite celebs on them and wear them when we're out running errands (never throw away your parent's old tshirts!) so we thought it was really fun to see of our fave celebs wearing shirts with their fave celebs. Heehee! So fun! Check it out!

With one week left to go until the CFDAs, designers are in campaign mode. There are four stories about Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in today’s WWD. One takes a look at the sisters over the years, another eyes their online strategy, yet another their business acumen and in the most personal, Bridget Foley walks the sisters through turning their love of fashion into a second career. The most telling quote in all of the stories comes from Dualstar’s president, Jill Collage. She says, “Ashley and Mary-Kate want to evolve every brand into a lifestyle brand.”

Until then, the coverage offers a few bits of new information:

    THE FRESH PRINTS OF STARPLAZA:

This week’s Styled Outfits had us looking through the same kaleidoscope designers used in their Spring collections. Stripes, checks, spots, stars, cheetah— you name it, they used it! Several all at once, even. The style “taboo” of prints on prints is no longer a shudder-worthy mix, thanks to the experimental, brave street stylers being blogged for our boundary-pushing pleasures.

Aside from seeing the traditional spots, don’t miss the gorgeous chinoiserie, Ellsworth Kelly geometry, and insanely stunning giant orchids. Cuts are simple and feminine and call on the best of the 40’s up to even the disco 70’s.

Get your groove on in these far-out Pattern Play picks!

Yesterday we showed you the hottest must-haves for summer days with sandals and bohemian accessories. Today we'll show you how to shine even after the sun has gone down! Bright blue is the IT color of summer and a little blue dress looks great with everything! Add some gold accessories for instant glam! Beige peep-toes will make your legs look loooooong. If it's a chilly night throw on a tailored blazer, for a cute beach-prep look. You'll be sure the sizzle under the summer stars.

    Photo: Stella McCartney

This morning, WWD stops just short of confirming rumors of a Diane von Furstenberg for Gap Kids collection. An inside source says it’s just for girls, unlike Stella McCartney’s collection for the brand, and will be available for the spring/summer 2012 season. Like McCartney’s, DvF’s kid’s clothes are sure to attract more than a handful of women angling to fit into size large jackets, tees and even dresses. As brands realize the financial potential in children’s wear and continue to better their brands—from Crew Cuts to Fendi—we’ve noticed more and more people proudly mention their latest habit: shopping the kid’s department. For most women that means a little boys blazer or a graphic tee, but for others it means squeezing into proper clothes. With the launch of McCartney’s own line, and the impending arrival of Lanvin’s, have you started to bookmark the kid’s pages while shopping online? Or does the idea sound crazy?

We love Dakota Fanning and think she's a brilliant actress! She first stole our hearts in I Am Sam and later in Uptown Girls! Dakota has played such amazing roles and has a real talent. Instead of taking the party girl route that many child stars seem to take (ahem, Lilo and Britney!), Dakota is serious about her job and her education. In fact, Dakota decided to not take any lead roles until she finished high school. Smart girl! We think Dakota is a classic beauty with her golden-blonde hair, porcelain skin, and blue eyes. Dakota always has had a sense of style but sticks to classic looks with a slight edge. We think it's great!

We had a lot of fun, fresh looks on the red carpet and on the street this week! We love how celebs are using bright colors, crisp whites, and fun details (like lace) in their wardrobes. Summer is here and our favorite fashionistas shine! What do you guys think, do these celebs deserve the title of Best Dressed?

Even though we love shopping the different trends, we still dress a certain way most days, you know what we mean?! So we thought we'd highlight some of the biggest style and their Dos and Don'ts! Ever since Gossip Girl we've been crazy about the preppy look. Before it was just penny loafers with pleated khakis and polos, but Blair Waldorf brought preppy to a whole new level. Preppy went from blah to hot with colored tights, headbands, fun heels, and structured shirts, so if you tend to dress preppy keep these Style Tips in mind!

    Do
-Shop the basics: white button ups, plaid skirts, heeled oxfords are all musts for this wardrobe
    - Add an unexpected twist: colored tights, a neon head band, or a statement necklace help make a conservative outfit modern and fun.
    - Play with pattern! What we love about Blair is that she chooses well tailored clothes with a playful, bright pattern. Instead of the outfit looking loud and busy, she makes sure to tie it together (example: Blair in the green and yellow plaid coat with the yellow handbag, green heels, and pink and green floral dress!)

    Don't

-Stick to sweater vests instead choose a fitted blazer, which is super chic!- Go overboard. Preppy is a simple style, do a double take when you leave the house and make sure your coat isn't clashing with your tights and shoes and hat (check out the picture of Rachel in the striped coat)
    - Be conservative! While we give Rachel props for rocking knee socks, we wish she'd choose a different shoe (not loafers!!!) and leave the skirt, cardigan, shirt combo at home- boring!
