    Carolina Herrera spring 2011, Imaxtree

Wrapped-up or let down, curly ringlets or kinky crimped, natural or technicolor, spring presented a wide range of ‘dos for every type of hair and mood. One of the few constants it seems was the appearance of the clip (not the 80′s mega claw kind) that can be used to make your style elegant, playful, or just plain out of your face. Here are a few ways New York’s designers used the classic tool to inspire your own daily routine: Carolina Herrera adorned her geisha dolls with barrettes made out of hair, matching each model’s own color. Keeping the zen mood, the organic accessories were arranged in tight, abstract patterns on ponytails and buns.

    Louis Vuitton Spring 2011, Imaxtree

For spring 2011, Marc Jacobs took the Louis Vuitton woman for a ride on the Orient Express.  His Asia, Deco, and orientally-inspired collection bordered on costume and camp, but ultimately showcased just how seamlessly so many decadent pieces can work together.  Golden metallics, dangling tassels, toggle ties, sheer floating fabrics, wide obi belts, lace-up sandals and lush colors all recalled the romantic Far East in art and film.  So much in-your-face glamor might seem intimidating, but with these pieces, you can channel the Louis Vuitton runway look:

    Who: Michelle Williams

What: The Cinema Society and Nancy Gonzalez screening of Meek’s Cutoff in NYC

Wear: Chanel dress and Salvatore Ferragamo heels

Michelle Williams might have been confined to the long, full skirts of her period costume while filming the Western Meek’s Cutoff, but she went full-on contemporary for the red carpet last night. Sporting her signature pixie cut, the indie darling shed her typical vintage threads for a deceptively simple cream Chanel shift with black sequined cap sleeves, which she paired with minimalist black Ferragamo pumps. Whether she’s wearing retro or modern styles, Williams knows how to keep ahead on the best-dressed list. We’re guessing that she’ll make us look at those prairie bonnets in a whole new light.

Red is one of the hottest hair hues for spring. Unconventional as it may seem, the striking shade adds the right amount of kick to all the nudes and whites we saw on the runways. However, from a personal experience which resulted in half my head green and the other half orange, I highly recommend going to a professional to dye your hair red. Red is not only the rarest hair color, but also one of the finickiest colors to attempt unnaturally. So before braving the bold color, read on for the top factors to consider to get the best results.

    Who: Keira Knightley
What: 2011 Jameson Empire Awards in London
    Wear: Rodarte dress

Keira Knightley has had an exceptional few days! First, she celebrated her 26th birthday on Saturday, and the next day she accepted the Hero award at the Jameson Empire Awards in London. A celebratory Knightley added in her speech: “I’m well up for a birthday snog, so please come and find me at table 14!“ Of course, she looks every inch the quirky Brit star we love in a ruffled Rodarte dress. The nude color, ruffled tiers, and relaxed cut are soft and feminine. Yet the adorable shirt collar brings in a touch of menswear, and the sequins and cutout shoulders keep the look festive.

Perez Hilton, the gossip king turned nice guy held his annual birthday bash this year at the Siren Studios in Los Angeles. The theme was blue and Perez was dressed as a clown with a red wig and denim overalls. It looks like this new "nice" act of Perez's isn't really working out for him. There were hardly any A-listers at the party. Selena Gomez was definitely the hottest celeb there and she had the best outfit, oh and Dita Von Teese was gorgeous as usual. Here is who else was there....
