When Alexander Wang sent doodle prints down his spring runway the fashion crowd went nuts. The story got cuter when he revealed his staff and interns had whipped up the prints by sketching on butcher paper. Anyone else looking at pictures of First Lady Michelle Obama working on a mural in Botswana might think those paint splatters came from actual painting, but ask a Wang fan and she can tell you they’re from his spring 2011 collection. It looks like the splattered pants were made for this occasion, and it’s the first time Obama’s worn a piece from the young designer. Here’s hoping there’s more deconstructed hipster in her future.

Madonna is the ultimate style icon, and the apple didn’t fall far from the tree with her daughter Lola, who consistently steps out in youthful yet chic ensembles. Kelly Osbourne, who comes from a whole different family of music royalty, has become our go-to girl when we’re looking for edgy outfit inspiration. Put the three together and you’ve got young, fun fashion perfection, a.k.a the Material Girl fall campaign.

With the ’90s creation of Sun-In, a spray-on hair lightener, some women had to ask, “Is hair highlighting really that easy?” The steps couldn’t be more basic. Spritz the lemon-smelling liquid onto desired strands, and go spend a day in the sun. Honey-blonde highlights were that simple. The citrus-y fragrance got women wondering if all they needed was a bit of lemon to change up their locks.

We spotted Kelly Rowland looking staggeringly beautiful at Interscope Geffen A&M Records’ Creme Of The Crop Post-BET Awards dinner celebration. With her long, silky locks and cleverly cut dress, the R&B songstress made our jaws drop. But the cherry on top of this sizzling sundae is Rowland’s sultry eye makeup, which may seem to be a typical smoky eye, but upon second glance, we noticed a bit of electric pink peeking out. We needed to have this look, stat. So here’s how to get it.

- Sure, Glastonbury may be a music festival and all with an incredible lineup, but it’s also a time for our favorite Brits to prance around in their wellies (the festival’s number-one must-have) and put on a fashion show—rain or shine. Everyone from Kate Moss to Beyonce made an appearance at the four-day muddy music fest. Obviously our girl B, who headlined the show, looked ah-mazing in a glittery sequined gold jacket and black body suit by Alexandre Vauthier.

The power of the web these days is unfathomable and borderline surreal, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. And neither would the twelve friends who created the website REcreative after attending the Louis Vuitton Young Arts Project last year. There are no glass ceilings within this art filled internet community. Inspire or be inspired, that my friends, is up to you. REcreative is an aspiring artist’s haven. You can create projects, publish work, discover opportunities, and even get connected with art world experts to find out how they got to where they are. The site stems from The Louis Vuitton Young Arts Project, a three-year arts and education program that was launched in 2010 by five of London’s most prestigious public galleries including the Hayward Gallery, the Royal Academy of Arts, the South London Gallery, Tate Britain, and the Whitechapel Gallery. What better way to get your foot into the art world’s door? Watch interviews with leading art experts Jefferson Hack, publisher of Dazed and Confused and Mark Pomeroy, archivist at The Royal Academy of the Arts or scroll through this months “must-see” exhibitions. Watch ideas turn into reality in the “Idea factory” or have artists and critics choose YOUR project as the favorite of the month. “Believe in yourself and you will always fly high.”

Chanel spring 2010, Imaxtree
Ever since Chanel debuted the temporary tattoo trend on the catwalk for spring 2010, it’s now acceptable to wear a temp tat again! Remember those ones for 25 cents you would get out of a machine when you were little? Well, now (for $75 more), you can fashionably express your inner-rock star without getting permanently inked…and without the regret a week later.

We don’t know about you, but we can’t afford to get a manicure every other week (as much as we’d love to). So we deal and stick to painting our nails ourselves, which can be challenging, especially for those with an unsteady left hand (or right hand). But at least we can offer advice to prevent chipping nail polish, so your nails look freshly manicured.

New mom Alicia Keys, who performed at the awards show, showed off her post-baby figure in a Dolce & Gabbanna white tux jacket, black top and pants, and zebra pumps. We’re loving her twist on the menswear look.
