Runway Ready - LFW

62 mesi fa

Following NYFW is of course, London Fashion Week!

For my first outfits, I chose to style items inspired by an iconic British brand – Burberry. Their signature ‘nova check’ print is my favorite part of the brand. This printed cap was part of Christopher Bailey’s final collection with the brand (Fall 2018), and saw the classic print was updated to include the rainbow flag in support of LGBT+ charities. I styled it with some monogram sweatpants in a matching color and a boxy t-shirt for a streetwear-inspired look. The yellow mini bag compliments the color on the cap perfectly. For accessories, I added some gold hoops and layered necklaces. Instead of a pair of sneakers, I went for some minimal heels. I then styled the nova check pants with a statement black-and-white coat for a subtle print clash, and then a graphic t-shirt. Keeping the outfit simple, I added chunky sneakers and a black cap.

For my next outfits, I wanted to style a designer that was new to me this season – Roberta Einer. Her Spring 2020 collection saw a soft color palette and Care Bear graphics contrasted with punchy pops of color such as lime green and orange. With the asymmetrical straps and handkerchief-style hem, the lime green slip dress was my absolute favorite piece from the collection, so I was so excited to see it in the latest Royalty collection! I layered the slip over a t-shirt and jeans for a dressed-down style. For accessories, I went for some clear heels and clutch bag, and an odd earring, with the colors matching perfectly with the dress and denim. With the pink knit, I layered it with a turtleneck and matched the green neckline to this green fringe bag. I then chose some jeans, white sneakers, and gold accessories. You could swap the jeans for a denim midi skirt.

For my next outfit, I chose to style this plaid skirt by streetwear designer Natasha Zinko. I paired it with a white t-shirt, which I layered with a lilac camisole; the color works perfectly with the lilac lining of the skirt. These sneakers are a great match too, with the gold and purple detail. For accessories, I went for a gold fannypack, layered necklaces, and hoops. For my final outfit, I styled this House of Holland pinafore! I took classic preppy elements such as the beret and loafers, and styled them with contrasting pieces, such as the Martine Rose t-shirt, layered silver chains, safety pin earrings, and crossbody bag. A pair of sneakers would also work with this outfit.
