It was a long time ago, when Colonel Gattopardo met his little cat-minded girl the first time. It was a stormy night when Gattopardo left one of these wonderful partys by his good friend Catwedding to go home. He just turned into another alley, then he saw her - this little girl with those black long curls. She sit there in the rain all alone and cried. "Oh, darling! Why do you cry?" he asked. The little girl looked at him with big eyes and said: "I'm new here and I don't find my way back to my suite. I don't know what I should do... I can't remember anything!" "Well then, my dear, come with me." Gattopardo took her by her hand to his home. "First you should get out of the rain. Tell me, my dear, what is your name? I'm Colonel Gattopardo." He smiled. The girl shruged. "I can't remember..." Sadly she looked down. "Don't be sad, little Black, we will find out, how you're called and where's your suite." "Why do you call me 'Black'?" she asked. "Well, my darling, it's because of your hair. It's black like the night. It lets your green eyes shine like two stars." He smiled. The little girl looked above and smiled too. The next day Gattopardo took the little Black along to Catwedding's suite. Black played with some butterflys which flew around the suite. She tried to catch one, but never got them. While that Gattopardo talked with Catwedding about the missing memories of Black. "Oh, it's so terrible, that she can't remember anything. If we could help her... but I don't know how!" Catwedding said after a long discussion, how they could help her. Gattopardo said nothing, he just watched a while Black playing, then he said: "She seemed a bit like a helpless kitten to me. Also the way she slept last night - like a young cat." Catwedding watched Black too. "You're right. Her behaviour is really like a cat. She's ... cat-minded. Do you know what I mean with that?" And Gattopardo knew what she meant. A little thought got in this moment bigger and bigger...
