Die Schauspielerin aus der Serie Grey's Anatomy und ihre Mutter besuchten das Schutzgebiet, das ungefähr 200 Pit Bulls beherbergt. Katherine und ihre Mutter sind beide sehr hundelieb und arbeiten daran, Hunde aus Notlagen zu befreien in Los Angeles.
In demselben Schutzgebiet sind auch Wölfe, Waschbären, ein Panther, Bären und ein Tiger zu Hause.
