yoga: calm yourself
Hatha yoga to calm yourself : mind, body and soul. "Ha" means sun and "tha" means moon. The practice of hatha yoga aims at unison of the solar and lunar energies within yourself for enhanced mental peace. With regular practice, you can gain sound mind and body; its also a step toward balancing your masculine and feminine energies to intensify your consicousness. Here is one pose to try, with approval from your personal medical professional, of course!
Mountain pose: Stand tall with feet close to each other and hands by your sides. Tuck in your tailbone. Inhale as you raise your arms overhead and fold them in prayer position. Focus straight ahead, keeping your breathing relaxed and smooth. hold....count to 60. Release.
A perfectly-performed mountain pose uses all the muscles of the body. it strengthens the thighs, ankles, abdominal muscles and the hips.
