Hello, dolls!

Many girls recall playing with Barbie dolls when they were younger. Barbie is characterised by her fabulous blonde hair, perfect features and impeccable makeup - and on Stardoll, with the right products, a Barbie-inspired look is achievable. As the Barbie brand expands to become more inclusive to represent dolls of all sizes, body shapes, colours and more, remember that a Barbie-inspired look can include anything you want; however, today I will be creating a look reminiscent of a traditional Barbie doll. 

Eyes: Traditional Barbie dolls have a pink cut crease eyeshadow look, with dramatic lashes. Start with a creamy beige or rosy-brown base shadow. Because cut crease eyeshadow is a little difficult to recreate on Stardoll, use a pink eyeshadow to fan out the colour and a brown or black liner on the upper lids and just a little on the waterline. Use a volumizing and lengthening mascara to create Barbie's super-thick lashes. 

Lips: Barbie's lips are a bright, hot pink. However, you can use any shade of pink to create this look. Other recommended colours might be rose pink or bubblegum pink. I used a hot pink lipstick with sparkle.

Face: Traditional Barbie actually has a very subtle amount of blush. Use a light pink blush to make sure that you don't go overboard. It should have a slightly pink, 'barely there' look. 

Barbie was brought back into fashion with the Spring 2015 Moschino show, and hopefully today you can see some of that makeup recreated. Nothing about Barbie is subtle, so I hope you enjoy trying out this look!
