Stardoll Makeup: Everyday Smokey
This is a subtle version of the classic smokey eye using nude tones. It will work on anyone and everyone and can be worn for daytime or nighttime.
How I Did It:
Instead of going for the classic greys and blacks, I used a fleshy nude eyeshadow and a darker, muted brown for the eyes. I applied the lighter colour all over my doll's eyelids and then blended in the darker colour only to the outer corners for a subtly smokey effect. This shapes and contours my doll's eyes too! To finish the eyes I applied mascara. I skipped the eyeliner so that my eyes had a more natural finish.
For the lips, I couldn't quite find a lipstick in starplaza or my pre-existing makeup kit that complemented the eyes, so I picked one that was the perfect hue, but too dark and applied a skin toned lipgloss over the top to lighten it. This gave me a brilliant, natural result. I then applied a light contour to my cheeks to finish the makeup.
Products that I used:
Stardoll Academy- Quest eyeshadow beige
Sephora- Eyeshadow No.3
DOT- Fall orange lipstick
Transform- Geisha Lipgloss
Transform - Bronze blush
DOT- Lengthening mascara
PS. The wonderful wig that my doll is wearing in this look was designed by the fabulous SherY_DuFF. Please go visit her starbazaar and take a look at some of her designs and consider purchasing one, she is absolutely fantastic!
