Living a Healthier Lifestyle

Hi all, Alice here! 


As I grow older and more mature, I realise that I need to stay healthy and good health will not just come to me. 

Next year at school, I will stop my PE lessons as I need to study for my final exams, but that means I will have to make up the time for exercise myself... 

How? 


Ways of living a healthier lifestyle:


1. Exercise at least 3 times a week - 

It's not a matter of losing weight, exercising makes you feel better and healthier in yourself. There are many great ways to exercise which include: 

- Yoga/pilates (my new best friend)

- Dancing 

- Running (best in summer)

- Core exercises (e.g. squats, crunches, sit-ups etc.)

- Tennis/Badminton (helps you exercise without really knowing; you run to hit the ball)

And many, MANY more!


2. Eat healthier foods & drink lots of water- 

Little things like "don't eat the cookie" can really help you get healthier. It's all about getting the nutrition you need, so eating the odd salad and keeping junk food away from you really boosts your mood!


3. Go outside - 

Fresh air is the most refreshing feeling and makes you feel great! Just that odd walk can really make a difference instead of playing on your Xbox or whatever.
